Endurance is his best asset with out it his hand speed will slow down in the later rounds
Manny Pacquiao's greatest attribute?

Always was and always will be his speed, it contributes to generate his power, and if you take away his speed he is nothing but a southpaw heavy handed volume puncher with pourous defense and quick feet, in other words average at best, he might have still been great, but it would have been all heart and determination, which is probably his second strongest asset, his mind. Let's not forget without his speed, and consequently his power, and his heart, he is actually pretty poor fundamentally, although he's improved over the years. That's why I have always said Floyd would have a field day on Manny, Manny would never trouble him like Maidana did, not 2009 Manny, not any version, Floyd would eat him for breakfast.
only idiot would think... oh wait... nevermind.Comment

Speed first and foremost, and though its not up there his chin just because Marquez put him to sleep doesn't take away from the bombs he's withstood in his past wars.Comment

besides the speed obviously, its really his counter punching. He is the one of the most underrated counter punchers ever. He counters the jab as good as anyone, and that was the main reason he just beat the crap out of Cotto. He rolls under hooks incredibly well, and throws an excellent check hook.
With Bradley he was feinting and getting him to over commit, and he made him pay. So yea, I would vote his counter punching, but its not an option.Comment

That's not true at all, his ring IQ, defensive prowess, and almost impeccable fundamentals would have him at at least a contender status in todays era, you don't need speed to be good defensively, he would have to readapt his philly variance to use more subtle upper body moevment and less legs, and do other minor changes but he isn't bound to his speed the way Manny is. Manny said it himself, "I never had the skill to be a great boxer, only a sheer determination to rise above poverty". Floyd is the exact opposite, he didn't come from overwhelming poverty, and he was both born with a God given gift, and was developed into a world class fighter from near infancy. Not the same at all.Comment

I don't know, whoever the p4p king would be assuming Floyd wouldn't be if he didn't have his speed, this is the guy I was responding to's hypothetical, not my own, I didn't bring up Floyd losing alot if losing his speed, the other guy did, I justd argued against him, did you read? Pay attention.Comment

I get the point you are making Loaded, and I agree that Pac's greatest asset is speed. That said, if you take away anyone's greatest attribute they become significantly worse. Take away Floyd's timing and he becomes average. You can make that case for any fighter ever.Comment
