    ITT: a lotta butthurt lol
And Juan Diaz stunned him and Katsidis dropped him as well....so what's your point?

Doesn't change the fact that Marquez is the superior fighter, even at his advanced age, while Ruslan hasn't faced a heavy hitter, has been thoroughly outboxed and his best win to date is the same Mike "Freaking" Alvarado that you're making fun of.

Alvarado knocked Marquez down. Strangely, he didn't pursue him right away. He let him recover.

Provodnikov on the other hand wouldn't let Marquez breathe if he ever knocked him down.

You got to give JMM credit for always seemingly recovering after being knocked down. But Provo can cut off the ring and is relentless so I'm not sure what would happen.

Ruslan hasn't fought a real ****er. Also, people predicting JMM being stopped over and over--it's ludicrous. On what grounds? Sure hes been dropped, and often for being out of position or flash knockdowns. He's never been stopped! Even Manny in his prime could not put him away. (And this is pre memo).

Jmm stops Ruslan. Jmm can fight how he fought Manny in fight 3 and stop Ruslan. The combos would pick Ruslan apart. And, again, jmm does NOT need that fight--Ruslan does. Ruslan has hardly fought a b level talent at this phase of the game. Stop the Ruslan hype people

Completely agree, but it's typical that Ruslan is getting overhyped due to being perceived as a huge puncher, although I feel that's also being overrated. Hell there's a few posters here that actually think Ruslan beats Floyd LOL. The kid can fight no doubt, but he's one dimensional and his style plays right into Marquez' hands. I think he's pretty similar to the Katsidis that Marquez fought, very tough and aggressive kid but lacking in the skills department and can be outboxed. Bradley had no problem ripping combos on him when he started to slow down, I can only think what combos JMM would unleash on an open target like that.

Wow. So you're now claiming Ruslan's losses as wins?

Alright, man. Whatever you say. Just don't forget Marquez avoided Provodnikov to fight the guy who lost to him, and still got hurt (and funnily Alvarado just stood there and let him recover)

The one thing I saw that really stood out to me in the Alvarado fight was how much smaller JMM was to Alvarado. I mean they looked 2 weight classes in difference.

Let's remember that JMMi s a career lightweight and he's fighting big Jr Welters. His skills are much better than Provodnikov but I just think Provodnikov is bigger and stronger naturally.

JMM would beat on him for about 8 rounds before getting caught by something, or at least running that risk.

I think the risk to reward isn't good enough, and JMM wants a big time payday for his final fights.

Ok, well have fun watching Ruslan VS the legendary Chris Algieri because he didn't have the balls to face Rios.

We know Marquez hits the deck often.
This time the power will be much to much to conquer and he will be forced to submit.
I don't think Prov is a harder puncher than Pacquiao and he is def not faster. Every fighter is dangerous if you fight there fight, but I think Marquez is too smart to do that. It is a dangerous fight for Marquez at 41 but I wouldn't say Prov would run through him.

IMO Marquez beats Provo, and if Prov puts lots of pressure one of them will get ko'ed and it could very well be Prov.

If Algieri somehow wins or has a close fight, let's put on hold the "Prov got exposed" comments until Algieri gets robbed against Danny Garcia.

Algieri is actually a pretty good fighter.

Provo being physically bigger and his relentless style gives him a good chance, specially now that Marquez is 41, but overall Marquez is a way better fighter then Prov and should be favored to will this fight on skill only just how he beat Pac, against all odds.
