    Mike Alvarado has faced a Murders's Row of big punchers in his past four fights. He faced Brandon Rios twice, Ruslan Provodnikov and this past Saturday he lost an unanimous decision to future Hall of Famer Juan Manuel Marquez.

    Prior to Saturday's fight, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum tried to match Marquez against Provodnikov but the Mexican legend opted to face Alvarado instead. When I asked Alvarado who he would favor if a Marquez-Provodnikov showdown ever came to fruition, Alvarado said that Marquez would be in for a very rough fight.

          I don't see how JMM beats Prov at any weight

          They both have 2 common opponents and Prov was more impressive in both

                  i hope provodnikov demands VADA testing.

                  but i'm not sure if marquez is willing to face provodnikov since he already openly avoided him.

                          The only thing that disrupts Marquez is rythm, the russian has no rythm just aggression, is the russian better than Manny? Didnt JMM knock Manny out cold in their last fight? Wasnt the reason why Manny got knocked out was because of his aggression? Manny gave Marquez fits with his in and out rythm in their earlier matchups. bradley beat JMM because he outboxed him with his rythm. Bradley beat the russian by piling up points, by outboxing him with his rythm, JMM might knock dude out - shyt the Russian might not beat Algeire in his nxt fight because Algeire can box like a mutha and has rythm - band wagon fans of the sport have no clue

                              What the **** does that have to do with anything? Your triangle theory means ****. If you knew anything about boxing you would know that.

                                  Provodnikov knocks out JMM cold at this point IMHO. That's probably why he didn't want to fight Prov
