    How am I not?

I followed his career as it happened.

He's undefeated because his opposition was poor for the most part. That's a fact.

Chad Dawson could go through that resume undefeated.

Chad Dawson wouldn't go through that resume undefeated.

And as RJJ said himself - you've got to respect anybody with that kind of record, 45-0, whatever it was. Also, his opposition wasn't all that poor. Sure, he made them look average, but I think he defended against something like 7 or 8 ex-worldchamps who had just lost their belt. It's not his fault they didn't want to unify, course they knew it was a hard fight, so they took it when they had more to gain, less to lose.

If you can't appreciate how great a fighter Calzaghe was then I feel sorry for you, man. You're missing out.

Hopkins is great and deserves all the respect in the world, but he's a negative, unattractive fighter, a spoiler. Joe was always great to watch, that was his gift. When he started to shine, you could feel it.

That was a very close fight, hard to score. A very tough fight for Joe by his own admission, he didn't perform to his best that night. But like I say, he adapted and found a way to win.

A spoiler? I think you should take your own advice and go back and watch Hopkins' career.

              Who would beat him?

Only person who might is Kessler.

Kessler and probably also Hopkins of that age.

And another thing. I'm not basing Joe's greatness on the fact that he remained undefeated, he would still have been a great fighter, even if he suffered a couple of losses. Just watch the guy. Let's say, against Lacy, now tell me that isn't a great boxing performance. And watch the way he moves, the guy had so much style. A true stylist. It's not like he had anyone to copy training out there in the middle of nowhere. The guy was a special talent, if you can't at least appreciate that then you're in denial, man.

"Ex-World Champions who'd just lost their title"

Is that supposed to impress me?

His opposition was poor for the most part. In his whole career he fought 3 fighters who were ranked in the Top 5.

So are all ignoring the fact RJJ was juicing likely the majority of his career thus getting an unfair edge over alot of his opponents whilst Calzaghe was natural?
Perhaps its a good thing Joe never fought Roy when he was in his 'prime'.
