  • manny signed with arum because he has leverage over arum.

he's their only ppv star and will be treated as such. wont be the same if he went over to the ****** team.

i dont buy the top rank has no fighters talking point being spewed by fl 0m0s. top rank is has a solid foundation while al haymon is just new in the boxing game.

top rank has true staying power. lets see how long al haymon lasts.

And this was a terrible move by Pacquiao...clearly shows he has people not looking out for his best interest representing him...there was no reason to resign with Top Rank...Pac should be making the promotional companies and tv networks bid for his services and take the biggest fights available...established fighters like Pac...don't need to sign long-term contracts with promoters...only fighters trying to establish themselves need promoters..and after they become big stars..they want to get out of their deals as soon as possible while Pac acts like Arum is doing him a favor by giving him an extension..smfh...

I know Mayeather ducked Pacquiao numerous times...but Pac should have learned something from Mayweather business-wise.

Very disappointed with this news..and the state boxing..
I agree with you... Mayweather gets 32million guaranteed for fighting.. selling 1million give or take.. Manny gets 20mill guaranteed for fighting.. selling 1million give or take (except rios).. gggeee!! wonder who keeps the rest! good job konkz and arum!!

      • Haven't read one post. But I reckon P@ct@rd Nation in about 6th gear talking Pac re-signed because Floyd is scared of him and won't fight him regardless. Let's assume for a second that that ignorant, lame, worn out bull**** is true. Even if Floyd is creating roadblocks.Manny has always been damn good in aiding the roadblocks. First it was OST. Manny could have easily said "I'll take whatever, let's go." It wad I'm afraid of needles, I'm superstitious, I need 24 days, blah, blah, blah. Then it was the money. Manny yaps to the press about he'll fight Floyd for free. Yet Floyd offers him a career high payday and Pac slams the phone in his face. And then the situation with Arum. A couple months ago, Manny was all like my contract expires end of this year. Then we'll see what's up with Floyd. Now he goes and signs an extension. I'm a Floyd fan and genuinely dislike most of Pac's post 2008 fan base. But I've been of the opinion that both sides are equally to blame for the fight not happening. But until the ****** segments of both fanbases open their eyes and see that both sides have been playing the fans for years now, nothing will change. Floyd has a huge amount of guaranteed money coming from Showtime. So he doesn't give a ****. And Pac knows Arum is gonna keep him safe fighting either overmatched opponents like Rios. And o ccassionally match him with names like JMM and Bradley. Where even if he's beaten, the fights will be close, he'll get a rematch, and he won't lose the huge portion of his fanbase that are his "fans" only because they think he can beat Floyd or buy into the nonsense that Floyd is scared of him. Y'all the fools.

its not even about going over to gbp, even if manny was a free agent he will not see the type of guarantee purse he's getting with TR. all these people talking about pac could makie more being a free agent LOL, whos making the type of money pac/floyd is as a free agent?

          • Pac's line was open 24/7. I bet every time Floyd saw a Phone he shat his knickers.

Haymon a just an advisor not a promoter. Manny will get paid where ever he does (unless arum is still robbing him) but it's pretty clear to see tr has no fights for him. Who's he gonna fight that generates any interest

not to mention pacquiao doenst have to put up his own money to carry the promotion like floyd does.

all pacquiao does is fight and get paid.

he doesnt have to worry about incurring losses like floyd does.
