Floyd back on 9/13

If a movie has a budget of 200 million and only made 175 million in the box office, it's flop.
If a movie has a budget of 100 million and made 150 million in the box office it's not a flop.
We know Floyd guarantee is bigger than Pacquaio. Regardless if Floyd PPV numbers are bigger, it's a flop. But just like actors, Floyd and manny still get paid guaranteed.Comment

I hope he rematches Maidana in his bi-annual showcase, funny how he really isn't a part of the sport anymore as a whole just has his own little circus where he picks someone from the sport to make some cash off of every 6 months or so.Comment

You're doing the same thing ... regurgitating what somebody else stated. Are you guys that moronically ****** that you cannot produce data independent of others?
What sources???????????
So, if moron #1) stated ****, moron #2) takes it and plants it squarely up his azz and shits out the same crap over and over without a shred of proof.
Some of you guys epitomize ******ity and ignorance and don't even realize it.
Yet, I'm the ******

Well since Floyd just picked his last opponent, shouldn't he be obligated to fight the #1 ranked WBC fighter in order to defend his belt?
Last I checked Thurman is #1 ranked WBC fighter. I think its a good match up stylistically for Floyd, it won't sell much but some fights are about defending your title.. or does Floyd get special treatment?Comment

What I don't get is if Mayweather isn't a draw or the at the TOP then why isn't he ever competed against during May or September?
Why do Pacquiao and UFC have to wait until he fights to make fights and money?Comment

We'll find out if it was a flop or not by Mayweathers next opponent AND the fighters chosen for the undercards. In my opinion Arum and Golden boy's PPV's aren't that great BUT they must be making enough to justify doing more "suck balls" PPV's. Perhaps they have reevaluated there greed factor.Comment

Naw man ..... Floyd's numbers are manufactured, everybody around him is losing money left & right. The Barclay's must want to lose some money as well, since they're begging him to fight in NY.
Everybody just want to latch on to Floyd because he's such a money pit.Comment

75% x 900,000 x $74.95 = $50,591,250 (HD)
25% x 900,000 x $64.95 = $14,613,750 (SD)
$65,205,000 total from PPV sales alone (just guessing at the split between HD and SD).
Sounds like a lot at first. $32,000,000 goes to Floyd's guarantee, leaving $33,205,000 for all the remaining fighters' purses and overhead. This does not count any of the cuts of the PPV sales either.
That money goes fast. I obviously don't know what all the other costs are but when it is all said and done, I can see Showtime skimming the bottom of the barrel.Comment
