No, nevermind I'm not that dumb. I would still need to drop the $7 a month for the HD cable box. I'm not gonna pay $7 a month for an HD cable box when I buy maybe 1 PPV a year.

I order all ppv fights on HD. Sometimes when a fight is on regular HBO or Showtime. I have to watch it on HD. If that means watching the fight three hrs later than that's what I 'll do. When I can easily watch it on the s##tty channel and know the results live no thanks. I can't watch my boxing without HD there is a big difference and I simply can't do it.

I refuse to buy a PPV on sheer principle alone. As it happens, several of my neighbors are big fight fans. I'd be more than willing to chip in, but these dudes don't care. They love throwing fight parties. Sometimes there are like twenty or thirty people at those things. For Pac-Bradley II, my boy had the fight channeled into three TVs.

My 32in. Magnetbox television was cutting edge back in 98 and still good enough today.

That sounds like complete bull****. HD is Standard def now, thats quite a scam they have going at Comcast.

My provider does not charge extra for HD and if you have an SD cable box, you just bring it in, and they give you an HD one for free

Honestly, the only reason to justify not buying an event in HD is if you don't have an HDTV. In this day and age you would think the majority of american households has at least one HDTV.

To spend $65 for SD while you have an HDTV is completely asinine. You're spending $65 already, why not get your money's worth with the extra $10? I could understand if SD was $35-$40, but at $65? No way.

Not for comcast. You need hd cable box which you'll pay $10/month extra. You can't watch HD PPV with standard cable box for comcast.

I stream, I just like sitting in my room on my laptop where I can do other things while watching fights. Maybe if they were fairly priced I would buy them for better quality, its only a 2 hour max tv event $20 sounds reasonable for that.
