So Jim Lampley is sure that the Cold War isn't going to end anytime soon.

Take a look at the recent GGG vs Quillin talks. GGG's people sent in an offer to Golden Boy, but golden boy countered with a bidding process to see where the fight gets aired. I guarantee you HBO and Showtime will balk at such a thing. They will both stick to their ground. We are unfortunately stuck with fighters who are destined to not only promotional barriers, but also glued to network branding.
good post i missed the bidding process thingy is there a source or a post i can read more about it?

The cold war that needs to get fixed is between Hoya and Schaefer/Haymon. GBP got lots of fighters with recognizable names, yet why are they not fighting each other? Either they are broke or Schaefer is intentionally holding back negotiating high profile fights because Hoya is around looking over his shoulders. Latest news is Schaefer is interested in making Molina vs Herrera. How about making these guys fight each other: Berto, Garcia, Alexander, Porter, Thurman, Lopez, Maidana, Matthysse, Guerrero...

Oscar likely has extremely little dictatorial control over GBP. Soon to be Colonel Sanders.

Broner's next fight alone with any of the these guys like Matthysse, Garcia, Porter, Alexander, Guerrero, Thurman, Peterson, Berto... would be a huge attraction. Schaefer used to announce possible high profile matchups in advanced. This is very strange. Either GBP is broke or he's saving them for his venture with Haymon and without Hoya in the picture.

How is haymon stealing his fighters? Lol you guys don't have a single clue into what's going on inside gbp

Exactly. GBP is stacked with recognizable names already built up by HBO, and they don't even need TR at this point. But these recognizable names don't fight each other. Hoya seems hopeless.

Arum, with Oscar's collaboration, should be making offers to GBP fighters, instead of just talking. Offers that are too attractive to pass up. These dormant fighters GBP have will find a way to break up with the clown duo Schaefer and Haymon. Bradley with any of the GBP fighters mentioned would also be huge attraction.

Schaefer is probably waiting for Oscar's disappearance again before making Broner's next fight or any huge fight involving their "stars". Otherwise, it's hard to loot the company when the boss is around. ;-) Schaefer wants Herrera vs Molina next. He can always recycle Judah and Malignaggi.

Oscar needs to make a big move.

Provo loses he's back fighting a champ. Alvarado loses, he's back fighting a veteran...

So what's the point of ending the cold war when GBP fighters don't even fight each other?
But see, this is an incorrect myth.

Broner and Maidana are both signed with Al-Haymon and they fought each other. Collazo and Khan are also both signed to Haymon, and they fought each other. Molina and Matthysse, both with Haymon. Lara and Canelo are both with Golden Boy and they ARE fighting each other soon. You guys like to follow your imaginations rather than reality.
