So Jim Lampley is sure that the Cold War isn't going to end anytime soon.

He must have some type of inside information to be sure about this. So are Arum and Oscar blowing smoke?

He's just calling it as it is. Haymon and Schaefer are committed to their strategy. There's a definite limit on what Oscar can do about that.

Well he's right though. Oscar and Arum will work together, but Oscar can only use Canelo or another big named fighter not managed by Haymon in order to work with Arum. Their options are limited. So when you really look at the big picture, Haymon is really the most powerful figure in the sport at the moment.

All of the relevant and young talents are managed by him. I'm not sure Oscar can afford to screw up his working relationship with him in favor of working with Arum when Arum has limited options when it comes to making mega fights. I hate to say it, but the only way this thing will end is if Arum comes to term and realize that he doesn't run things anymore.

Haymon is the problem for GBP doing business with Arum.

Lampley doesn't have some crazy inside info, he's just using his God-given common sense.

                Here's a question, which makes me pause at Arum's sincerity\motives ....

Why is ODLH doing all the footwork, while Arum is sitting at home, acting like the Godfather?

IMHO: Arum, is as untrustworthy as a promoter can get and he always has his best interest in the forefront. ODLH better be very careful when dealing with that snake. At the same time, ODLH better nail down where he stands with Haymon -- Who incidentally is at serious odds with Arum.

Its going to take a collective effort to patch up the mess that is boxing. ODLH & Arum doing the dance with each other, may not be enough.

Are you on haymons payroll? You go on a rant about ODLH mending his business relationship with arum but you encourage Oscar to make up with haymon who is stealing his fighters with the help of Schaefer?
