The reality is when any modern athlete achieves anything legendary or breaks any record it's human nature to assume he had extra help. In part athletes are to blame because we've been fooled so often to actually fully trust anyone. It's not fair for those who are competing in an honest way though.

I don't see anything su****ious about either fight. The Duran-Barkley fight was close and Duran fought a hell of a fight as he has been known to do. I was sure Marquez would beat Alvarado because guys like Marquez, Bradley, Ruslan and Pacquiao are a full class above guys like Rios and Alvarado and will almost always clearly beat them.

a lot of posters will call Duran a BUM after getting KOED by Hitman Hearns
a lot of posters will call Sugar Ray Leonard as Exposed and overated ducker
a lot of posters will probably line up Hearns with the likes of khan for being glass jaw after being KOED by SRL and Hagler

Duran was an old, but still viable great fighter
Barkley was a hard dude who could be solved by a seasoned fighter
no reason to automatically say "Duran is on something"
other than the fact that it's "in" to do so just for the sake of it
