duran does have su****ions involving steroids / peds. i think he mentions a doctor administering "something they used to give to horses," in the book "hands of stone."

i'd have to look into it more, but that's what i remember.


lots of peds came from, or are used both in horse racing and athletics. he was probably talking about something that would be banned today. i believe it was used to make weight.

It's not really a su****ion, more a case of people turning a blind eye. If individuals are truthful, I think they would admit that most athletes are on performance enhancing drugs; there's simply too much on the line not to cheat.

Dude, that fight was in the 80s. The chances Duran wasn't roiding are like, 5%. Every athlete was roiding then, and everyone knew it.

The fight could have been in 1350s+, during the black plague. I asked if the fight happened today, would he be accused of using steroids.

My thread is not asking "Why didn't Duran get called a drug cheat for his Barkley win in the 1980s" which is what you are basically answering to.

Marquez is "su****ious" for beating Mike Alvarado by decision in his 4th weight class, who has lost to lesser fighters than Marquez like Rios and Provodnikov, and almost lost to Prescott. They were similar height, 2 inches apart, and similar size(4lbs apart). Both traded knock downs. But apparently Marquez is su****ious for his win.

So which wins of the past would have been called su****ious today? Would Duran vs Barkley be seen as su****ious? Would Henry Armstrong be accused of using PED's?

He's under su****ion because he has memo in his corner. And his body looks su****ious. Duran moved up but he wasn't cut.
