It could lead to Schaeffer really leaving, which Arum wants, but at the same time I couldn't imagine Oscar appreciating that,,, 6 seconds after they just start getting along.
Sometimes you tell someone who you know full well that he will leak it out so you don't have to. Either told Arum to leak it out or knowing that Arum would eventually leak it out knowing full well how much Arum hates Schaeffer.

All of this is because of Richard Schaffer and his dealings with Al Haymon.
GB become top dog because of Hoya. Back when he was still Hoya the boxer, he used his leverage to get an exclusive output deal with HBO. This caused most of new talent to sign with Golden Boy since they had most of the dates.

oscar may not be that smart but he's a promoter who promoted his own fights. he knows what potential money a ppv card could bring to his company depending on the ppv numbers. i guess he's not happy with his company's financial gains in connection to the success of the ppvs they promoted.
I really am trying little by little to stay away from posting, but sometimes it amazes me...Ok..We dont know if his company would be in ruins, heck he might of been using when he started his company...Now the craziest part,he is not that smart?..He is that smart,he used his skills and face to be where he is at right now,he appealed to the american and mexican crowd,he brought the peoples wifes to see him fight...he build a top promotion company, the number 2 (imo)in the world, and dont say schaefer did, oscar hired him so he gets credit...Really..with all due respect, give me a break.

If Oscar really feels that Scheafer was looting his company and was trying to steal it from him (And if that's something he told Arum), do you guys think he was actually serious about repairing his relationship with Scheafer? Both Scheafer and Hoya are already lawyered up the wazoo. When that happens, the only talk that happens is int he court. The nice guy routine Hoya has been pulling in regards to Scheafer is just bull****.

He's not saying anything Main Events hasn't alleged in their lawsuit.

If this is the case then why haven't big names with leverage like Roy Jones, Cotto, Tyson and others been able to reproduce his success? Heck Mayweather promotions isn't even licensed yet.

Golden Boy is where it is today largely because of Richard. Love it or hate it.

Roy Jones and Cotto's company were mostly created for tax related reasons. And neither were were the PPV mega stars that Oscar was. Mike Tyson was not a promoter when he fought, but Don King definitely did use Tyson for massive leverage to get dates.

I remember up until about 3-4 years ago most of the peeps on here would call Richard clueless, and just a figurehead check signer for Oscar. Now is seems many people see it as the opposite.

If you step back and look at it. All the other promoters seem to be doing business with each other and HBO. It is business as usual. Golden boy is closed into some triangle with Showtime and Haymon only. They created a bubble for themselves. Is it sustainable long term? It appears Oscar does not see it working that way.

HBO is the one that won't work with GBP. They got butthurt because Floyd signed with Showtime.
