      LMAO......

Floyd didn't and shouldn't have had to fight Winky Wright, a guy 2-3 weight classes bigger at the time.

Floyd voiced wanting to fight Casamayor and Freitas early in the 00's, not so sure it was Floyd who didn't want those fights, or they just didn't happen. Floyd beat the fighters who beat them as it is, Corrales and Castillo, who are greater/better than Casa and Freitas. Granted, Castillo-Casamayor was close.

Tszyu and Williams.....when Floyd went to 140 in 2004, Tszyu wasn't even active and was injured. He came back and had a tune up rematch with Mitchell, then proceeded to lose to Ricky Hatton. Floyd had wanted to fight Tszyu for a long time at this point, and tried to fight the winner of that fight, Hatton. Not Floyd's fault Tszyu ended up losing when Floyd got to 140.

And Williams lost to Carlos ****ING Quintana 2 months after Floyd TKO'd Hatton.....Williams is the most overrated fighter on here in recent memory. The only time this fight was viable and one I wanted to see was after Williams beat Margarito, and Floyd fought Hatton. Hatton at the time was undefeated and Top 10 P4P....hard to say Floyd didn't take the better fight. Not his fault Paul Williams lost to Carlos ****ING Quintana 2 months later.

Cotto and Floyd should have fought in 2008, whether it was Arum/Floyd relationship as to why it didn't happen....it should've. It ended up happening as it is at 154.

Margarito is the only legit gripe 100% with Floyd. Should have fought him in 2006. Granted, Floyd had just split from Arum, probably played a role.

Pacquiao and Floyd....we know....we know. But it wasn't Floyd who walked away from that fight in 2010. Just sayin'....

Casamayor and Floyd both claimed they wanted the fight, both claimed the other side didn't and turned it down.

        HBO were pushing for it.

No one really knows what the true story is. Shame that didn't happen.

The funny thing is the main guy who should be on this is Stevie Johnston and he's not even on there

But he blatantly wanted nothing to do with fighting Mosley in late 2009-2010. He then was cool with it once Shane lost a wide UD to Floyd, and should have lost to Sergio Mora.

What about Pac's horrible run of....Margarito, Mosley, JMM III, etc??? That was at the peak of his popularity, he took those fights.

            And what did you read?

Winky Wright turned the fight down and walked away from the table! What more needs to be said?

Winky was known for pricing himself out and missing out on big fights and this situation is no different.

Would have liked to see Mayweather-Johnston in 2003. Stevie was one of the better LW's around in his time.

I can sense the Pac Stan haterade strong in this thread....
So lets talk about it....all this talk about fights ducked but nobody has the facts but the fighters involved. But lets talk about Facts we do know...Roach said THE PAC VS MAY FIGHT NOT HAPPENING WHEN IT WAS AT ITS HIGHEST WAS THEIR FAULT.

FACTS: FLOYD IS IN MID TO LATE 30'S FIGHTING ALL COMERS WITHIN REASONABLE WEIGHT CLASSES.

                FACT: PAC AIN'T

FACT: FLOYD IS TALKED ABOUT BY HIS FANS AND HATERS ALIKE EVERYDAY OF THE WEEK AND THREADS ARE CREATED IN HIS HONOR BY THOSE SAME FANS AND HATERS.

                FACT: PAC NOPE

                  So would I.

Mayweather turned it down though. For whatever reason.

We could have great boxing conversations here but somebody always got to start some BS by creating these same BS threads man.

You can always tell who's been watching and following the sport since a certain time.

If someone says Floyd avoided ANYONE from 1998-2005 clearly didn't watch or follow it....he was the guy being avoided back then. He wasn't a huge name or a big payday, and was seen as a huge risk. Only once he transformed himself into a PPV attraction could anyone possibly have a gripe. Even then, in 2006 Mosley openly wanted nothing to do with fighting Floyd, neither did Cotto in 2005-2006. But when Floyd split from Arum in 2006, all of a sudden in 2007-2008 Floyd was ducking Cotto and co.

Only fight Floyd turned down prior to 2006 was Stevie Johnston, for whatever reason. I have a hard time thinking Floyd didn't want to fight him though.
