Roger actually learned a lot of his boxing knowledge from Floyd Sr when he was younger

He didn't leave the arena, he was actually concerned about the way Hatton got KO'd. @ you believing that a trainer wouldn't care.

When Roger was training Floyd Jr, Floyd Sr was still in the background often giving instructions to Floyd Jr. But Floyd Jr would pick and choose the advice he took and used. During the Gatti pressers, you'll hear Floyd use phrases that he could've only gotten from Floyd Sr (such as 'there's nothing cool about taking punishment, the less punches you take, the longer you last in the sport, etc). Even in the Corrales fight, you see and hear Floyd Sr on camera, in the background at ringside giving some instructions to Floyd Jr, and Floyd Jr TURNED AROUND listening and Roger too.

Floyd's dad was a very talented fighter but when Ray Leonard and drugs and all the issues he was having are in your way sometimes it just doesn't work out no matter how talented you are. But seriously the guy's still a pretty serious athelete for a senior citizen. In his sixties he could probably bust most of our azzes up.

And his fight with Whitaker. He troubled both, dropped Whitaker and have Chavez a whole load of problems in the second fight.

Or his fight with Serrano when he won his first title.

He has quite a few impressive wins.

Roger was very good, if he had a better chin and better discipline he could have been much better.

Obviously better than Floud Sr and like you said better than Broner.

That's true, Sr is the one that got the family into boxing.
