Who was better, Roger Mayweather or Floyd Sr?

Roger fought chavez 2 times, Snr fought leonard, nothing in JR career can ever match that.

IMO I like Roger better out of the lot.

Floyd Sr had potential but didn't get to show all that he had because of getting shot.

Also, Roger's mittwork isn't unparalleled. Sr has a very similar style of using the pads and probably is the one that first introduced this training method to the family.

I have seen both.. prefer Roger's.

It's fine if you prefer Rogers pad work. But to say it is "unparalleled" is an exaggeration when it is very similar to Sr's.

Roger by far.... He was world title caliber fighter..

Floyd Sr was a fringe contender at best... Ranked but basically a very defensive fighter but little offensive to propel him to a higher level

IMO roger has to be seen as the better fighter given his career accomplishments.

roger mayweather was a very good fighter, not great but far better than he gets credit for. the man was a two weight world champion back when there werent as many titles floating around. after all could anything but a good fighter give pernell whitaker a tough fight or go 12 with kosya tszyu? he also had wins over the likes of sammy serrano, livingston bramble and vinnie paz. not great fighters but championship caliber fighters in a tough era.

floyd sr was a good fighter too but didnt accomplish much due to being shot. you have to give roger the nod, after all he fought successfully at the highest level for a number of years unlike sr. regardless of the reason.

give a shout to jeff too, the forgotten mayweather. not as good as his brothers imo, certainly not as good as roger but he could fight too. after all its in their blood.
