his mittwork is unparalleled. Floyd sr tried to train Hatton against pacquiao and lost.
thats the dumbest thing i ever heard. all trainers take losses and not a single trainer in the world could have helped hatton against pacquiao. sr had a tremendous amount of success as a trainer with the likes of floyd, DLH, dawson and guzman all of whom were at their best with sr in their corner.

Clearly Roger had the better career but if you ask me, I think Floyd snr had more talent, his downfall was that he couldn't punch that hard and he was cut down before he really had a chance to shine. He gave Sugar Ray a really hard time and both guys had similar experience when they fought.

I think Floyd snr was faster and had more skills, but I don't know, he was missing something. Not just the power, maybe a winning mentality. Its often fighters who have a big limitation in their own career who make the best coaches, I have seen a trend there, and not only in boxing.

It doesnt matter. Floyd Sr did a horrible job with hatton, and I hear he left the arena without checking if Hatton was ok? Fair play on Dawson and DLH, but To me, prime Floyd Jr. Was with Roger a majority of the time, not Sr.

I thought they were pretty equal with the slight edge going to Roger.

Sweet Pea vs Black Mamba is one of my fave fights.

Im becoming more accustomed to playing semantics games on nsb..doesnt mean its enjoyable though.

if something is parallel.. its on the same level. It is my solid belief Roger.... prime trainer roger before he got more sick that is.. developed his mittwork to an artform, an artform that spurred Floyd's form to greater heights. Floyd Sr.s was good ...but not as good... hence not parallel.

Floyd sr laid the groundwork as a trainer. The foundation to help him become a good champion.. but it was Roger that was spurring Floyd to new levels as Jr. quested to become an atg of boxing.
