Alvarado had a failure to launch.

JMM looked decent. I thought Alvarado would edge this one out so I gotta eat crow here. Heck, it wasn't even what JMM did (which was good), Alvarado just didn't let them go from the opening bell and didn't start putting work in until the 6th. If this was hockey you may have to give Provo the assist on this win, not to take a legit win, in a fight that got better as it went on, away from JMM.

He seemed too relaxed from the opening bell. Not to say Marquez didn't look good, but Alvarado didn't come with the intensity necessary to take the fight away from him. Marquez did what he usually does, and the skill difference was more than enough for him to get the W. Alvarado was doing more thinking than throwing.
