LOL. I picked him as somewhat as a fan and was hoping that Marquez would turn old overnight. But he was never in Marquez league.

I gave him a shot due to size, youth & workrate & was questioning myself as early as the first round.

Still not sure if Marquez looked good, faster than he has in years or whether Avocado is just that bad he has made him look prime.

This was a "skill vs. will" type of match-up, and Alvarado didn't show up with nearly enough determination. Pretty disappointing.

Alvarado had a failure to launch.

JMM looked decent. I thought Alvarado would edge this one out so I gotta eat crow here. Heck, it wasn't even what JMM did (which was good), Alvarado just didn't let them go from the opening bell and didn't start putting work in until the 6th. If this was hockey you may have to give Provo the assist on this win, not to take a legit win, in a fight that got better as it went on, away from JMM.
