While I don't care about the PPV#'s any more than the next person the fact is - as fans of good fights - we should be concerned.

By all accounts A Floyd PPV needs to do 1.4-1.5 million to be profitable for Showtime. Even if this fight did a million it'd be a huge loss and unlike after the Guerrero fight there is no Canelo fight looming to make up for it.

People who think Floyd's PPVs losing SHO a ton of money won't affect the quality of programming and fights are being naive.

I'm not going to take satisfaction in the numbers because Floyd still gets paid regardless - it's SHO that is the loser here as well as the rest of the guys who will be taking financial hits as Showtime tries to make up for their loss.

The 1.5M number is taken from one unsourced Ring article by Tim Smith. He offers no evidence, just states it as fact. If you run with it as fact, you are blindly rambling.

I don't think Glaser was that far out on Pac-Bradley, Bob still never gave a precise figure (said 750-800k) and the next fight is going to Macau due to the numbers.

To be fair, neither fight did 'bad' numbers, but floyd needs way more than that. Boxing fans might actually win out of this. Floyd could actually be forced to stop his bs and make the pac fight.

Perhaps we ar all over analyzing this. floyd is maintaining a significantly higher average number over his last 2-3 fights most likely because fans want to see him fight. Its probably just that simple.

the numbers going around is saying its 650-700k so im not sure where u got below 600k from?? and as for floyd, if thats true that his fans just wanna see him fight then why did his numbers drop in the maidana fight then?
