with don king in control don't count out david haye from the picture. he set up valuev for a 3 fight option on david haye. he made a lot of money off those 3 fights including the klitschko fight. it wouldn't surprise me is he did the same to stiverne since they had some real issues before this fight. who would make king the most money? stiverne\wilder or stiverne\haye? if haye were to beat stiverne wlad would have to fight haye again but this time a few years older... just a thought...king is a crook & would sell stiverne out in a second if he can get a few more PPV dollars...the WBC can be paid to hold off on the mandatory & wilder does need the money for his family. step aside money? king has brought a few of his fighters over to England to fight going back to tim witherspoon.

that was a good fight but stiverne's eraser right hand struck again. I had it 3-2 arreola going into the 6th. bermane's power was clearly the difference. could have been stopped after the 2nd knock down but reuss has always been a guy that gives both combatants a chance to stay in the fight. it was for the WBC title so he gave arreola another chance to get back in but quickly jumped in. some may criticize the ref but I didn't mind him letting it go a couple punches longer because arreola is a tough sob. stiverne has pretty quick hands & he is a great counter puncher. props to him for a great win. now DON KING has control of the WBC title. anything can happen now. I think stiverne will destroy wilder. wilder will not be able to stand up to the counter punches arreola could take. I wonder if king will cash out with klitschko unification? he is 82. it's hard to believe he is as old as my dad. K2 now has to deal with the devil himself...LOL

Arreola was winning the fight, that's for sure. Stiverne said post fight that he studied Arreolas previous fights and that he capitalized on that. Arreola made the same mistake and got caught by the exact same right hand that broke his nose in the first fight. I think Arreola should get himself a new trainer.

What will old Don King do now? Good question...

Also, props to Stiverne! He did well last night.

There was a clear bias going on, and it wasn't just in the commentary box as Arreola was done favours by the referee then allowed to continue after the 2nd KD when he was still doing a chicken dance after the count.

Clearly Arreola was "meant" to win this. Stiverne just wasn't in on it.

Stiverne seemed to hurt Chris with every solid shot landed, including a lot of good body shots. Arreola barely threw a body shot.

I didn't see any bias in the commentary. I thought it was called straight down the middle -- the same way Teddy Atlas calls all the fights on ESPN. I thought the ESPN team did an excellent job of calling the fight and was much better than any HBO called fight that I have ever seen.

Stiverne got real ring smarts. That goes a long way, especially in HW division. Props to him

the reason this popped into mind was king likes the british pound. when Bruno was at his peak in popularity he brought tim witherspoon over there to defend at Wembley I believe & then he brought McCall over there to defend his belt too. i'm not sure but after Bruno beat McCall i'd say there was a good chance he had options of him as well. then he cashed out on Tyson 2. king is a sharp man. him having a HW title puts a really big twist in the picture & as I said he has always enjoyed those british pounds...

No excusees, Stiverne had a good strategy but Arreola showed a heart that Stiverne does not have. When Stiverne was hurt, he hugged. When Arreola was basically standing up knocked out, he didnīt hug. Sure, call him ******, he could have hold for the rest of the round and just jabbed, hugged, and cruised the remainder of the fight , he was winning the fight but instead of doing a Mayweather fiasco, he fought and got caught.

Well, what can I say. Stiverne is a tough dog. Arreola is tough, but Stiverne is tougher. And smarter in the ring.

I went to the Galen Center to watch this fight. Let me tell you, it was remarkable how few people were there. Nothing like the crowd at Staples for Arreola v. Klitschko.

The defense of Arreola and Stiverne was atrocious. If either threw a power punch they had about a 50/50 chance of landing it. Neither moved their head (except Arreola would move his straight back at times--bad idea). Arreola also made no effort to block that left hook--ever. He ate some vicious countershots because of it.

This fight simply came down to, from my perspective, a lack of real power by Arreola. He just doesn't hit hard enough to keep Stiverne honest. He could land nice clean shots, but not quite hard enough. If he would have mixed his headhunting up with some body shots, it might have been different, but he failed to do so. By the end of round 3, Arreola looked discouraged from eating all those left hands. He slowed his pace and that played right into Stiverne's hands.

To be honest, I can't see Stiverne doing well against any big heavyweight with heavy hands and a good jab. He is easy to hit and lazy. He has pretty quick hands and good power but I think even a guy like Tony Thompson could outbox him. I came away from this fight very unimpressed with the quality of the heavyweight division.

Haye was supposedly at this fight--they announced it. I didn't see him though. I would favor Haye over Stiverne. Haye is a precise puncher, with a good jab, who hits very hard. He would tattoo Stiverne. Stiverne's only hope would be a KO--which is possible as Haye is a bit chinny and has studiously avoided most big hitters in the heavyweight division.
