Another failure of a thread by TS.

    He cares about 3 things:
    1.Floyds 0 which actually doesn't exist
2.Floyds PPV numbers (even though he's broke and doesn't buy them)
3.If Floyd's penis can fit in his mouth

      Exactly

Dude thinks 'something's fishy' when a real numbers is posted. But when the promoter says 'around 1 million' that checks out for him. The only real number I've ever seen for Floyd-Ghost was 870K. I guess in promoter's speak that counts as 'around 1 million'.

What is your argument? SHO said Mayweather Guerrero will exceed 1M, implying it wasn't at 1M but they expected it to get to that number when everything was totaled. It never got to that number and never released anything else officially. Tim Smith says 870K, Forbes wrote it did 875K. That's a great number against Robert Guerrero. You can go on and on about SHO losing money on it, but that doesn't change that it was a good number against an unknown opponent. I expect the Maidana fight to do a little less... ~825K.

That's nice and all but 'around 1 million' is not the same as 870-875K. Just find it funny that the OP is dubious about the numbers 750-800K being reported by several sources including the promoter of note, and being confirmed by the Network.

And yeah, Floyd did some nice #s against an unknown in Guerrero but so did Manny (890K and 800K in 2 Bradley fights). Difference is Floyd is getting paid $32 mil minimum for those fights and he has to meet a certain threshold for Show to justify that price tag. 800-900K isn't it.

More power to him for convincing people to overpay him for sparring matches though

Yeah 32M to fight Guerrero and Maidana is lunacy. Can't even begin to justify those paydays.

What good are PPV numbers when the bottom line for Showtime/GBP is a zero or even a negative? Showtime is still trying to recover from the Guerrero disaster. They recovered some of their loses in the Canelo fight. The Maidana fight is another disaster.

No wonder most GBP fighters are now averaging one fight a year. Khan, Guerrero, Berto, Matthysse, Ortiz, and many others. GBP can only afford Star vs Bum types, if you have noticed. Everyone avoids Thurman. GBP cannot afford to offer good money. GBP is ****d for focusing too much on unprofitable Mayweather fights.

Oscar is on rescue mode. No wonder Hoya don't give a **** about Floyd. Money Mayweather is not making GBP any richer. He's too greedy to share profits.

Biggest source of the friction between Oscar and Schaefer I'm assuming. Richie Rich has made Floyd the priority of the company even though technically he's not even a GBP fighter and they only get a fee from him and not the usual promoter's cut.

Looks like that blind devotion might drag Show and GBP through the mud. But Rich looks like he'll be fine since he'll end up working for Mayweather (Haymon) promotions full time once Oscar cans him.
