Arum confirmed 750-800. Said it was a disappointment:
Pac-Bradley 2 Official PPV #'s

What's fishy about it? A couple of days-a week after the fight Kevin Iole of Yahoo and Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated had stories/tweets about their sources telling them the fight did 775-800K buys. Arum just came out and said the fight did 750-800K. HBO confirms this figure.
If HBO had said 'no comment' or denied it, then it would be fishy. They confirmed it, just didn't go out and do a formal publicity thing. Maybe like Arum, they were inexplicably expecting 1 million+ buys for a rematch of a dud, one-sided fight with a piss poor undercard.
Either way, will be interesting to see if Apollo Creed vs Argentine Rocky hit the magical 1.5 mil buy rate SHOW needs to justify paying Floyd $32 mil guaranteed. From my POV, there was 0 hype for that one. Floyd had to stoop to posting ******** pics on facebook to trump up interest
something definitely wrong if they can't hit 1.5 with a card that has Floyd, Maidana, Khan and Broner
were the Guerrero numbers ever released?Comment

1) Why would I be mad?
2) Where are you getting info from that it outsold Pac-Bradley? Not a peep has been said about the buy rate. The networks usually have a solid idea by the Thursday following the fight what neighborhood the buys are in.
It's a week later and not even speculation about how it did. Just talk of rematches and Floyd possibly foregoing the final fights in the contract and retiring yet again.

around 1 mil according to Showtime.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbade...hful-thinking/Mayweather averaged 1.4 million PPV buys in the six fights before Guerrero, but the Guerrero fight generated around one million buys, according to Showtime.
because it will outsell Pac-Brad1) Why would I be mad?

No, those were rumors which always exist after a big PPV. Dan Rafael at ESPN always writes an official article when numbers for an HBO or SHO PPV are made available publicly.
It is interesting that HBO did not lend their name to the release though. If I remember correctly, a lot of sources were doubting 475K for Pac-Rios as they said it did closer to 350-375K. If that is the case, there is a good chance that this one did less than 700K. I was one of them though and I enjoyed the fight.
With that said, HBO also did not lend their name to 1.25M for Mayweather-Ortiz and Mayweather-Guerrero numbers were never released by SHO, although from the consensus of articles I read now, it appears it sold 870-875K.
So ultimately it is up to the fan to decide what to believe.Comment

Tim Smith via Ring:
Espinoza does not have any projections on what the Mayweather-Maidana fight will generate on pay per view. But Mayweather needs to get at least 1.5 million to justify the $32 million guarantee that Showtime is giving him as a minimum for each of those six fights in the contract.

With Floyd-Ghost (870K) and Floyd-Canelo (2.2 mil), Floyd is slightly hovering above the magic number. If Floyd-Chino gets the same amount of buys as Pac-Bradley, they are in the red big time.
Yeah, do let us know when they release those numbers.because it will outsell Pac-Brad
And 'around one million' isn't a number. Just an FYI.Comment

Floyd-Guerrero did around 1 million but they won't drop a number. Lol yea ok...
I guess THAT isn't fishy right?

When theres a rumor about these numbers they're usually true. Like someone said, Iole and Fat Dan were reporting the numbers days after the fight and guess what? Arum confirmed it.Originally posted by PigeonsQuote:
