Why would 800K for that fight be a disappointment? IMO that's about the best possible number you could hope for in that scenario. The Marquez #s are always high because there's intrigue there. He and Pac have a History of great, competitive, action-packed fights with razor-thin decisions. The first Bradley fight was a dud that everyone in the world with the exception of 2 judges saw as a decisive and one-sided Pacquiao win.
No one was really clamoring for a rematch. Plus the undercard was pathetic. If Arum really was expecting 1 mil+ for that he was clearly sorely misguided.
But he seems intent on going back to Macau for the massive site fees (He reportedly got $8 mil for the Rios fight) and now the Chinese PPV. So I assume he won't bother getting a better overall card which is a shame.
And OP- where are the May-Maidana buys figures? 750-800K has been the reported # for Pac-Bradley II since about 5 days after the fight. But we haven't heard a peep about Floyd-Chino...Comment

You guys need to get with it, Floyd now has new roadblocks so this PPV roadblock is not too important anymore.
Latest roadblocks:
Manny has to leave Arum. (Not mentioned in 2009/2010/2011/2012)
Manny must avenge his losses. (Maidana/Khan don't have to.)
Floyd said he is not interested in fighting Manny. (2010/2013/2014)
Manny must join TMT or no fight.
New one coming up:
Manny can't wear punchers gloves ..... health comes first.
It's never-ending these roadblocksComment

800k Is not a flop. You don't know what you're talking about.
800k would be a humongous success in the UFC and at 75 dollars is 65 Million dollars in revenue.
65 Million dollars generated in PPV Revenue alone for 2 guys fighting in the ring for 1 hour is not a ****ing flop.
Pacquiao sold that fight by himself. Bradley has no fans, and there was no undercard. I didn't even buy it because the undercard was shit and I'm a big Pacquiao fan who always buys his fights.Last edited by DARKSEID; 05-10-2014, 11:42 AM.Comment

Finally a month later they drop the numbers. I shouldn't complain though, it's better than Showtime/GBP never telling us the final Mayweather/Guerrero number.Comment
