Hopefully after Crawford busts up Gamboa (which he's gonna do), he can get Figueroa in the ring for a unification. I'm seriously considering heading to Omaha for this one. It's gonna be a ****er!

This smells like a set up from Arum. First he says "who the truck is Gamboa" for Mike Garcia. He's still mad about the Rios situation. But then now Gamboa is fighting Crawford who has skills in his backyard with a hell of a reach/height advantage. Did not want another Cuban wrecking one of his prospects (Rigo/Donaire) like Gamboa could of done to M. Garcia (highly doubt it but possible seeing Garcia priced himself out now wants to sue top rank). Gamboa better be like tyson and get inside and knock Crawford out. Man I like both fighters but Gamboa cannot risk anymore backlash. Hope it's a good fight and no "home cooking" in Omaha.(yeah right)

First thing I said when they announced this fight as a possibility was Craw is much taller as well as naturally bigger and that he would praying mantis the hell out of Gamboa. Bad fight for Gamboa. Smart business move for Arum finally giving Crawford a showcase fight against one the bigger names in Boxing. Arum really wanted to push Mikey Garcia, but due to whatever legal matters they're hsving at the moment Crawford jumps in and takes his (Garcia's) spot. Crawford IMO is the more skilled fighter anyway and deserves a big push.

Crawford is not 5'8". Burns is listed at 5'10" and he was as tall as him.

He's as tall as him because Ricky Burns is 5'8. Go and look at the head-to-head pictures of Burns with Beltran, Mitchell and Gonzalez - same exact height as all of them. Crawford looks big next to PEDboa because the latter is a real life hobbit that's obviously shorter than his listed height (barely around the 5'4 mark would be a rough guess.)

I think Gamboa should have gone for Figueroa first, I think he could have won that fight, and than unify with Crawford, but oh well, is done.
