I'm not feeling good about it, but you never know. I'm not really concerned with Crawford's ability. I'm concerned with the size disparity and Gamboa's inactivity. Three years ago, a similar match-up at 126 wouldn't have concerned me nearly so much.

Gamboa should be trained by Roach or Robert garcia. I think both would suit him well. I dont know about his father....does he know boxing?

His father was himself a boxer. I don't know much more about him. I get the sense he's not experienced enough to handle a fighter with the talent of his son. Gamboa's best days might be behind him. He needs a top trainer to squeeze whatever he has left out of him.

What about when they were talking Pacquiao? lol

Yuri's in the sad position to be ultra-talented, but undersized. At least Rigo has the sense to fight within his natural bounds.

Yuri is built like a rock though. The homie and I ran into him in Vegas once, shook his hand and all that. I also took pictures of him and my buddy and it didn't seem like he was THAT short next to my 5'10" homie, Crawford must be a little taller than advertised or the perspective from the light/camera is playing with our senses.

Anyway, he is probably out of bounds against other pros.... but Crawford is on the wirey/skinny side for the division himself. there is still a fragility to him that I am not sure about yet...just judging from seeing how strong Gamboa looked to me in person I think he could hurt him if he isn't handcuff by the inactivity

Yeah I think he bit off more than he could chew here. But if anyone has the talent to pull off the unexpected it is him. Sure as hell one of the most naturally gifted fighters I've ever seen.

Anything can happen, right? I'm just not betting on it.

BTW, are you going to the Barthelemy fight in July?
