For those who say "now we know why Floyd didn't fight PAC"

at this point everyone knows that Floyd beats Manny, in 2009 and in 2050. The only thing pac fans can hold on to is the unproven theory that Floyd is scared...but that has been disproven by Pac's very own trainer. It's tough times to be a pact4rd...Comment

Umm duh? They've both shown to struggle with each others' styles, shouldn't that be even more a reason for it to happen? I mean I understand Floyd logic with "health first" and all but damn. These days it seems like it's only Pac fans that want them two to fight, I'm guessing Floyd fans aren't as vocal because they know their hero won't do it, even if they wanted it too.
Fantasy wins >>> real wins for Floyd and his fans.Comment

Floyd never needed that fight ,look at what he's making vs what Pac is making. He's already in the history books something no one can take away from him. My question is why do people even care now ,if the fight is made. If they fight they fight and then when Floyd beats him it would be more excuses.Comment

Maidana and Pacquaio fight nothing alike at all so it's illogical to think that way regardless.
The only thing they do similar is throw a lot of punches.
The styles are nothing alike.Comment

Manny and Maidana are pressure fighters. Floyd and JMM are counter punchers. However, Pacquiao and Maidana are more similar in application than Floyd and Marquez are.
The one thing that makes Floyd special and unique among the four, is that he has a dismal KO percentage. He fights for safety and for points. That alone makes him radically different than Marquez.
Marquez KO'd Pacquiao while he was coming forward. Let's get real and look at Floyd and we all know he wouldn't have thrown that punch in that opportunity Marquez had. Floyd is programmed to defend first, then counter. In the situation Marquez KO'd Pacquiao, Floyd would not have been willing to take the shot Marquez took, stand his ground and go for the KO. Further, When Floyd presses the attack, is when there is a lull in the action. And by lull, that can be a matter of a few seconds.
I see the point you're trying to make. But the the similarities between Manny and Maidana are far greater than the differences between Marquez and Mayweather. Pacquiao can re-create the blueprint Maidana left a hell of a lot more easier due to speed, volume and general attitude in the ring than Mayweather can recreate Marquez' success and it all boils down to Floyd's basic safety first programming.Comment

Floyd will be remembered for his skills and a lot of negative things as well.Comment

Thet would be great and all, but is it realistic? At this stage for several years now, Top Rank and GBP has kept everything in-doors. If this remains the same, it would be best for Pac to leave, promote his own fights where he can then work with getting a bigger list of opponents. On the other hand, he can remain a big fish in a small pond with the welters at Top Rank....Comment
