I'm neither a Floyd or Pac fan but JMM and FM are different fighters. JMM is willing to eat a punch or two to land his own and counters with combinations more often. Floyd likes to totally avoid punches before countering with single shots. He is also less likely to counter in between a combination which would be bad news vs Pac.

Maidana/Pacquiao are not the same fighter and Mayweather/Marquez are not the same fighter. However, I don't necessarily see how Paquiao can have more success than Maidana, but I can definitely see how Mayweather can have more success than Marquez.

Btw, you can't be accused of avoiding someone when you can't even begin to negotiate with a $40M offer!
