It has been mooted for 'late summer' Wlad's words, not mine.

I think we will see a third fight this year for sure, like was planned last year, and actually took place the year before.

The thing that strikes me about Pulev is that he's a very good allround fighter, does everything well but doesn't do anything outstanding. He's a big, skilled boxer from the Eastern European school, but this could be a carbon copy of the Chagaev fight. Let's see.

It will be more like the first Tony Thompson fight in 2008. Both Thompson and Pulev are big, crafty, awkward (although Pulev isn't a southpaw) and durable.

Tough fight, I expect Wlad wins this one by UD or late KO/TKO.
A friend pointed out to me the exact same,he believes a Pulev v Wlad fight will play out just like Wlad Thompson 1.he is a huge Pulev admirer, and actually based in Berlin too.

Has anybody heard any rumours or gossip,of where it might be staged ? I suppose we can safely presume Germany but whereabouts in Germany ?

Wlad by wide UD or late stoppage.

Nobody cares what you were hoping for. Pulev Vs Wlad is next.

He has no belief in his ability to take a punch anymore. I find it weird that people are just starting to notice that like if he just started doing it. You can go as far back as the first Samuel Peter fight to see the excessive holding. It has turned off many people to the HW division. Alex Povetkin gave him a good run despite him leaning on his back all night. Never before have we seen the so-called elite fighter of boxings former glamour division not have his fights broadcast on major US network. Believe me, it has nothing to do with him not being american.
Of course you're exaggerating about the holding. Be as it may, its part of the game. There are plenty of fighters who don't like fighting on the inside and resort to clinching.

If you're not going to criticize Wlad for holding then make sure you apply that standard across the board to all fighters.

In any case Pulev is deserving of the shot and should be much more competitive than Leapai was.

These are the fights Wlad needs to take. Fights like this.

One bad fight now and again is ok but he has them way too often.

This is the best fight out there for Wlad.

I know Wlad wants the green and gold in his collection but I'd like the Pulev fight to get done. Pulev's been screwed over by half the other contenders out there. It's about time he gets what he's after whether he can handle it or not. He's done what was asked of him.
