Him and Ward need to start campaigning towards each other. That's a fight that can make both their careers.
Really? There has been so many 160 pounders who has ducked him that it's not even funny. There's so many fights to be made: Martinez, Sturm, Quillin, Geale etc. Plenty of great matches. Moving to 168 for anybody but Chavez (and a gigapurse) is IMO a bad idea. He isn't a big MW at all.

Then Arum, announces that the fight cannot be made, but other fights can happen over the next 15months, INSTEAD of sweetening the deal a little for Chavez to make the fight happen.

Arum, is a freakin cancer to boxing --

The real question is how much did HBO put in the pot for this fight????

And how much is Arum taking off the top for Top Rank????

If I were Chavez, I would 1.)Tell Arum to go & fuck himself hard. 2.)Take the remaining 15months contract time off, 3.) Find a sponsor and do boxing exhibitions all across Mexico to generate some revenue and keep interest high 4.) Get his career back on-track without that freakin slimy snake Arum.

This fight could have been made!!!!

And I blame Arum 100% for not doing everything possible to make it happen.
He'd probably have to come back as a heavyweight.

According to Arum, this is the offer that Jr turned down to fight GGG.

With an extension, he was offered 7 million to fight GGG. For his next fight, he would get 5 million if he lost against GGG, and 10 Million if he won against GGG.

When Jr Declined, arum offered him the same purse as GGG (2.1 million) but with a PPV upside.

Not sure if it is actually true, but it is interesting.

"There is no update but the point is that I thought that we made a crazy, unbelievable offer to Chavez for the Golovkin fight. It called for the Golovkin fight to pay him a minimum $7 million, and if he lost that fight, we guaranteed him another fight for $5 million. Now if he beat Golovkin, then we would pay him a minimum for his next fight of $10 million," said Arum, whose Top Rank contract runs through October 2015 with Chavez.

"So we would…do these two fights, and the minimum he would make is $12 million, and if he was successful, $17 million plus. He turned that offer down. So we offered him a one-fight offer at considerably less money but still better than what Golovkin accepted for the fight and he turned that down. So obviously, he doesn't want the fight and we go on with our business."

Chavez is garbage, and i cant believe im writing this, but he should have took Arums offer.

Seems like a good offer so dont get why he rejected it. Maybe something else that we not seeing but who knows

Guess we'll wait for Junior to respond.

Or maybe he'll just go get high.
