We can't do anything about Pac's decision. Its his life. If he feels he is being treated fair & comfortable w/ TR, so be it. Lets just understand that Pac is not good in business unlike Delahoya & Floyd. Pac is just a boxer/politician not boxer/businessman.

P.S. I dont think he is dumb ass also. Because he is making millions of money & he is a rich boxer my friend.

I'm not even sure they have him until 2015, we'll see though. Plus with Chavez adding Haymon, Arum's going to have to deal with a lot of this tip oct 2015
Why not? Two biggest star, Floyd & Pac fights 2x a year. Chavez has 1 & 1/2 year left in the contract, so why not maximize it?

Is there any play for a Ward-GGG fight in July then? Make it at 164.

          Two fold this one.

Chavez made out he was really up for this fight.

Then said he won't sign an extension with Arum as part of it.

Dodgy of Arum and helps no one if we end up with no fight and delays.

But Chavez can't be that fussed about kicking back and not fighting. Well up for facing Golovkin, but a lazy boy really.

"Keane said he thinks there is still time to finalize a deal, but he said Top Rank offered Chavez financial parity with Golovkin. While Golovkin is considered the better fighter, Chavez is better known and is a bigger draw who has proven he can sell on pay-per-view. He did more than 475,000 sales in a middleweight title fight with Sergio Martinez in 2012 in Las Vegas."

Chavez refused to fight for the same money that GGG will receive for fighting Chavez. Jr. thinks he is an A-side, because of PPV 2-years ago against Maravilla. Reality is their drawing power in 2013 was practically even, same rating numbers on HBO. To think he is an A-side against Golovkin is somewhat foolish.

In no way I am a fan of Jr. but to think he isn't a bigger draw than GGG is not smart. Let's see he is Mexican and the son of a Mexican legend. He is by far a bigger draw than GGG.

"HBO’s telecast of Gennady Golovkin vs. Curtis Stevens on Saturday night from New York attracted 1,410,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s 29% above Golovkin’s bout with Matthew Macklin (1,097,000 viewers) on June 29 and ranks as HBO’s & cable’s third most watched boxing match this year (trailing only the HBO telecasts of: Cotto vs. Rodriguez 1,555,000 viewers and Chavez Jr. vs. Vera 1,416,000 viewers). Golovkin vs. Stevens peaked at 1,566,000 viewers on HBO Saturday night."

best Chavez Jr. fight in 2013 attracted 1 416 000 viewers
best GGG fight in 2013 attracted 1 410 000 viewers

that 6 000 difference is really negligible

So ..... Arum don't like the idea that Chavez wants to go solo, and also wants to get away from Top Rank.

Arum decides to offer purse parity, knowing full well Chavez wouldn't go for that, being that he is a very good draw. Then Arum, announces that the fight cannot be made, but other fights can happen over the next 15months, INSTEAD of sweetening the deal a little for Chavez to make the fight happen.

Arum, is a freakin cancer to boxing --

The real question is how much did HBO put in the pot for this fight????

And how much is Arum taking off the top for Top Rank????

If I were Chavez, I would 1.)Tell Arum to go & fuck himself hard. 2.)Take the remaining 15months contract time off, 3.) Find a sponsor and do boxing exhibitions all across Mexico to generate some revenue and keep interest high 4.) Get his career back on-track without that freakin slimy snake Arum.

This fight could have been made!!!!

And I blame Arum 100% for not doing everything possible to make it happen.
