I'm not talking financially though. Of course everyone's first priority is money so I understand but he's wasting his prime years away.

Chavez Jr, Froch rematch, Kessler rematch. All good money but all 3 do nothing for his legacy.

Kovalev would do a lot or his legacy. I would be one of his best wins.

At the same time, Kovalev has not really beaten anyone of real note yet so it makes sense for him to wait for that fight to build and take the bigger money matches at 168.

He's fought a few guys I think Cleverly and Campillo are good wins over Top guys and he's clearly one of the best in the world at LHW.

I would agree with you if he hadn't been doing nothing for the last 3 years but at this point he needs to sort out the legal issues ASAP and start doing something of significance.

I don't see much for him at 168. Golovkin's there, Groves is there if he beats Froch but the legacy enhancers for him right now are at LHW, for me.

I would think the lawsuit with his promoter is the reason he's "sitting on his ass" but that's just me.

I'm not even that wrapped up into being nationalistic, but Terence Crawford basically made me a fan for life for traveling to fight overseas, it was fun to root for him like that. And he didn't even get robbed. Just wanted to throw that out there
