Floyd Mayweather is one dimensional offensively.

Canelo Alvarez was given a stylistically marketable fight, for his comeback after his Mayweather defeat! Alvarez was given a fight which should see him offensively go to town and produce a stoppage! which he did, and it got all the fans and media buzzzing! at his great display of offensive ability...

Floyd Mayweather up against Maidana, was made because it was a marketable fight and lets face it! Maidana is a pressure fighter who comes forward! there is no great scientific theory which explains his fighting style! You would think this fight is set up for a Mayweather stoppage or..? dominant performance.

But the fact of the matter he failed, and showed his one dimensional limited offense.

I am not sure why people don't own up to the fact that compared to other past great fighters of his style! his offense is not good enough, and its why guys like Hearns, Leonard, Duran would all beat him in my opinion.

Floyd Mayweather always needs to reset after throwing a punch, or 1-2 punches! and he only seems to throw combinations when a opponent becomes incredible static...

I think Mayweather is one dimensional offensively, if he wasn't he would of beaten Maidana up...

"Even Amir Khan dropped Maidana and had him hurt more times than Mayweather did! because Amir Khan understands that he is not a big puncher, gets creative offensively! puts punches together to the head and body"...................Mayweather seems to not be able to do anything outside of the lead right hand, the lead left hook, the stab/jab to the body, and he will reset after every single one of these gems! oh and the uppercut, where he invites the opponent to come in hidden by his shoulder! These are all great shots but offense is not just about single shots! Mike Tyson was a big puncher, and he still committed to combinations! which makes a offensive more destructive! No way! No way is Mayweather offense at a all-time great level of ability"....

Why..? because i am raising good points and leaving everybody speechless....

Maidana was set up for a stoppage, Mayweather was talking about stopping the guy...

But he got inside the ring and his "One dimensional offense let him down"...

Floyd Mayweather Senior has stated recently, that Mayweather needs to put his punches together. He has those single shots, and very rarely creates anything else off them shots! great offensive fighters have 2 phase attacks....."Not one phase attacks"....

He is a bit, today's version.

A Floyd from 7-8 years ago wasn't but the Floyd's over the last few years seems to rely on his straight right abit too much for me.

              One dimensional?

He has offense on the ropes.
He has offensive in the middle of the ring.
He has offense on the outside.
He has offense on the inside.
He can throw EVERY punch in the book with speed and accuracy.

Yet hes one dimensional do you clowns actually watch the fighterss you dummies post about?

The frustrating thing about Mayweather. When he lets his hands go and uses combinations, he looks brilliant...but he rarely does this and his happy to just use the straight right hand a lot. It's a great right hand though, he doesn't telegraph it and it's so quick. I'd just like to see him use more combinations because he has all the shots in his arsenal.

When Floyd let his hands go Maidana looked like a lost puppy.
When Floyd used his legs Maidana looked like a lost puppy.

Trust me when I say these people DO NOT WANT A REMATCH.

His straight right is one of the best punches in all of boxing. Why not use it? Thats like complaining about Wlad or Cotto jabbing. Or Mannys str8 left.

him being a potshotter makes his offense looks like one dimensional. he always tend to pull back to his defensive shield after throwing a punch. he used to have beautiful combinations at lower weights but that's gone now.
