Floyd Mayweather is one dimensional offensively.

Trout who has the same style was so clumsy doing something he's not used to doing. Of course, the poor guy lost. Rigo against Agbeko was one of the most embarrassing fights in boxing history. People were exiting the doors left and right, those who stayed were booing. Rigo was finally moving the forward, except he still had to wait for Agbeko's punches before throwing his. Lol. What a effing style.
Try not to be so close minded.

I've said this countless times over the years and it's one of the reasons why I would never rank him above Pacquiao or Hopkins, both these names are close to being complete fighters, not quite on the level of Leonard, Ali, Pep or Robinson but Mayweather is far from what I call a complete or all round fighter.

His defense is very very good but when ever he has gone up against some who has thrown everything but the kitchen sink his way, Mayweather has looked less than stellar, in fact against Maidana and Castillo, he looked far less than an elite fighter (not saying he is). WHy? it's because, against guys who punch, punch, punch and don't let up, there is little Mayweather can do when his defense starts getting penetrated. His straight right hand and check left hook is all he has had.

Some one said that Mayweather from 7-8 years ago was better offensively, the answer is, he wasn't because it's the same thing he did then.
Mayweather basically ceased combination punching when he came up to 147. He became extremely defensive to not put himself at risk of getting hit by naturally larger guys. People have to remember, he's probably the only active fighter who fights within 5lbs of of his walk around weight. That being said, Floyd throws whatever punch is needed for a particular fight. Manny throws the same shots every fight and that tends to work because he is so offensive but with Floyd being a counter puncher, you can see the same variety of shots but in a more sparse number.

He has counter hooks, lead hooks, counter right, lead rights, I mean he can throw any ****ing punch in the book with perfect form and great accuracy. Not even just those 4.

All he needs to beat all of these fighters is a counter right, lead right, and uppercut once in a blue moon.

He doesn't even neeed to throw combinations to win. That's what he refers to when bringing out his "A game". You all saw what mayweather did offensively earlier in his career, but where did all those punches go?

Guess he's saving them for when he needs them.

Perhaps for a superfight/megafight where he knows he's going to need it...like a....hmmmmmmm....

        manny pacquiao?

if floyd ever fights manny pacquiao its going to be the best fight of his career not just because he'd win, but because you'd see him bring out all his weapons just to make pacquiao look bad and ordinary.

I mean come on now, I haven't seen mayweather throw a lead left hook in 6 years. You all think he just forgot about it?

        He's got everybody fooled.

Mayweather has great connect ratio. He's to defense minded. He don't wanna sit there and throw combos cause he don't wanna get caught. His problem is he's to afraid to get dropped or lose the 0. Hes a great fighter either way.
