Maidana will earn more in two fights with Floyd than any other 10 opponents he could face!!! If Floyd wants him to wear "oven mitts" who cares!!!

Oven mitts would be worse than any puncher's gloves out there, it would feel like real fists.

Catcher's mitts are huge and hard, you can cut some one's face up a lot easier than with boxing gloves, due to the lacing and design of the glove. Floyd would end up more bloodied than ever. You can also literally catch your opponents punches with the mitts. And defense? You can effortlessly cover your entire face with mitts, literally have no opening on the head.

Yeah, just ask for a higher guarantee to compensate for the frustration of not being able to use his gloves of choice. He deserves a higher guarantee. Start at least at $5 million guarantee, with the goal of negotiating it down to $3million since Floyd would surely say no to $5mill, $3mill is double the first fight guarantee. I honestly think Maidana should really try to negotiate a higher payday and just never mind anything else. As long as Floyd is not asking for any catchweights or weight stipulations.
