The gloves are mailed to the commission wrapped up straight from Everlast. Garcia didn't see the gloves until that night. No other camp that Maidana has fought has ever objected these gloves. Floyd knows the gloves were legal he just wanted Maidana to use pillow gloves so he wouldn't feel the punches as much.
Some serious observations about the Glove fiasco

Yea ok it's always nice to read the back of a box, but... This whole situation was a joke & is a complete non issue for those experienced with boxing gear. You need to try these gloves on. It's night and day.Powerlock
• Powerlock technology, a defined anatomical foam construction that guides your hand into a natural fist position.
• Compact glove design allows for superior fist closure providing a balance of speed, comfort, and protection while delivering a powerful punch.
• Premium leather ensures long-lasting durability, functionality and performance.
• Competition lace-up gloves.
• Available in 8 OZ, 10 OZ, and 10 OZ XL sizes.
MX
• Premium Mexican Leather maximizes flexibility and wrist comfort.
• Custom horsehair and foam blend allows for optimal power transfer.
• Carefully handcrafted in Mexico for superior quality.
• Competition lace-up gloves.
• Available in 8 OZ and 10 OZ sizes.
Only difference is one if foam and the MX has the custom horsehair blend and better leather.Comment

It's not uncommon to open the gloves and try them on before you hand them over, especially if they are special order gloves. Maybe they wanted to check them out and look them over.
Bottom line is you are making some pretty big accusations and so is this Grant glove rep. You don't cheat by giving the "illegal" gloves to the commission....LOL
What part of that don't you understand? You cheat when you get the gloves back and then take padding out or load them.
This is absurd and it's a non issue. We have Everlast MX in the gym and I can tell you they look very worn the day they come out of the box. They have that look because they are horse hair, not foam.Comment

The Grant Rep. who was there, stated that the Blue gloves were not factory packaged and were wrapped in Saran Wrap. The gloves are mailed to the commission wrapped up straight from Everlast. what's the point of bringing up what gloves were not approved by nsac? the fact still remains that floyd didn't allow maidana to wear even the ones approved by nsac.
besides, it could very well be that those initial gloves got disapproved by nsac when floyd started complaining. if nsac approved those kind of gloves before or will approve it in the future then it is so obvious that they just tried to accomodate floyd's complaints.
a big b itch move by floyd no matter how you spin it.Comment

I understand all too well that there are some very questionable discrepancies. It's not uncommon to open the gloves and try them on before you hand them over, especially if they are special order gloves. Maybe they wanted to check them out and look them over.

Some which led to all the Blue Gloves being blanket rejected. Now if this brings su****ion on Garcia, then it is what it is. But you as well are making several assumptions in your comments -- Of which I made only suggestions about whether Garcia knew those gloves would be questioned, & if he didn't then he needs to revisit what will pass an inspection and what won't.
Having a box of gloves all without their factory sealing and wrapped in saran wrap would be questioned by anybody.
I've never worn Everlast, only Rival, Title and Grant, which weren't mine. So, other than the pictures I have no experience with the MX's.Comment

You still miss the point. Answer this basic question without going into these conspiracy theories.I understand all too well that there are some very questionable discrepancies.

What benefit would Garcia have in turning in gloves that he knows won't be approved?
If they were out of the package like you said, ok that's fine it shouldn't have been done and maybe they messed up. At the same time, it's a non issue because you don't cheat before turning them in.
Like I said before, these gloves are hand made, they will never be exactly the same. So the commission can refuse them for that very reason. There is no "standard" in these gloves.
I just think you are insinuating something that is a non issue is all man. I don't think Garcia is a glove maker, or knows what or won't be approved by the commission.Comment

The fact that you have never laced up a pair of MX's proves how little you know about the subject matter. Let's say Maidana's camp did remove some padding, how would they be able to restore them back to the same condition without the factory equipment needed to make the gloves?I understand all too well that there are some very questionable discrepancies.

Are you implying that Everlast - one of the most renown sports equipment manufacturer, purposely designed the gloves to have less padding on the knuckles?
Here's something you failed to mention, why hasn't the NSAC taken action against Madiana's camp if the gloves were in fact illegal?
