Ill try to find if Eubank says anything about Roy Jones junior in his book, and anything about fighting in the states. Ill post it back here tomorrow what I can find.

I thought Collins did good with him when I saw this fight, as mediocre as Collins was back then. If I remember Collins won the first few rounds because Johnson couldn't find his range. Johnson won the middle rounds, I remember, but Collins picked it up again at the end and did enough to get the decision. I probably still have the fight somewhere actually.

        Chris Eubank,The Autobiography(2003)

People always ask me why I never fought Roy Jones. The reason is simple,Roy Jones was never my mandatory contender. If he had been my mandatory I would of fought him,I am a professional. I can say this about a Roy Jones fight: Roy Jones would of come out of the fight in bad shape, but I would of come out worse off!

I began my career in America but I was wary about fighting there later in my career because it was a real jungle out there, everyone fighting damn hard for the top. I was content to stay a big fish in a small pond and make my money in the UK.

Holy ****....Eubank is far more realistic about himself than friggin' JUYJUY is.

lol, Roy ducked the great supermiddleweights like the plague.
Instead he fought fighters who weren't even rated in the top ten apart from Toney.
Roy could of been so much greater, but he should of fought the best instead of fighting fighters who had no chance of winning.
I guess these worthy champions must of slipped his mind.

Graciano Rocchigiani was offering Jones big money. Rocky claimed that he was the true WBC light-heavy champ.. why didn't Jones fight him and prove himself the real champ? Maybe that Rocky was a rough, tough 6ft2 southpaw had something to do with it.

Collins was ROBBED against Reggie Johnson, what fight were you watching?? And Reggie Johnson was a very good fighter back then, and not a very good fighter when he fought Jones (it sounds abit twattish, but it's truth).
I don't believe he was robbed at all. Johnson was still very good when he fought Roy. Don't make up stuff. He was not that old and he still obviously had skill, and gave Tarver a ****load of problems around that time.

Additionally...the Roch liked to fight in Deutschland. There is nothing to suggest his offer was legit or that he would have fought in America. He certainly was NOT well known in America, so it is understandable that he and Roy never hooked up.

I thought Rocky was quite well-known in America? He trained at the Kronk and weren't some of his fights on Showtime?

roy fought richard hall, a rough tough, never been down 6 foot 4 southpaw. roy knocked him down twice in the first round and then won every round after in one of the most one sided bouts in light heavyweight history. jones tko's him in the 11th.

With all due respect to Richard 'Nigel Benn wannabe' Hall, the guy is not Graciano Rocchigiani.
