Yeah! How could we forget the British invasion of the late 80's and early 90's we americans such as Michael Nunn,Hearns,Toney never fought these fighters for whatever reasons and you know reluctant Roy would make up a excuse not to engage in war.Comment

Eubank could punch..

I don't think LHW's would handle his punches, starving and steaming to lose those last few lbs to make 168 took so much away from him, but at 175 that would of been his perfect weight (Thompson was just naturally too big and strong).Comment

We all know Eubank can punch, look what he did to Steve Collins. When Ronnie Davies gave him a slap after round 9 and told him to turn the clocks back, suddenly it was as if the pre-Watson had returned Eubank because within seconds of the bell ringing for round 10 he had Collins down for the first time in Collins career,Collins was clearly there for the taking but Eubank could not finish Collins or didnt even try because of those terrible images of Michael Watson flashing through his mind and so he just preened and posed instead.Comment

Well he was winning every round of both Thompson fights before his eye shut both times, and had a number of CLEAR opportunities to finish Thompson in the first fight but instead backed off and waited for Thompson to recover - so he gave the fight away just like he did the first Collins fight (Eubank still believes he was robbed in the first Collins and first Thompson fights though and you can't disagree with that, and he believes that if the referee had given him one more round in the second Thompson fight he would of stopped Thompson - and would of enjoyed his third reign as world champion). He also floored Malinga, Close and Storey but couldn't finish them due to losing his finishing instinct post-Watson, and had Thornton and Wharton almost out on their feet a number of times but preferred to step back and ask the referee to consider to stopping it rather than taking the decision out of the officals hands and ending the fight himself. His career finished on September 21st 1991.Comment

Roy fought some good opposition mostly erly in his career. Pazienza, griffin, hopkins, toney, and he beat Ruiz and he beat Tarver once should have left it alone tho. RJJ is the man leave him alone. He's smart he made money, won belts, made history and still has his health not too many boxers can say that.Comment
