P4P in their current state.... it'd be better and competitive than most fights

nah, he fights at too slow a pace. he's more technical and intelligent than maidana and that would actually play into floyd's hands. to beat floyd you just gotta bum rush him.

Isn't GGG looking to fight at SMW soon? The idea that Floyd should fight GGG is insane. Unless GGG can come down to 154, the fight doesn't make sense.

And I doubt he could/would - and if he did, Floyd wouldn't get credit for it anyway.

Probably. I still think Floyd takes it P4P.

He said he'd drop to 154 for Floyd or another big name

Actually I haven't seen him tested by anyone truly talented. The punches he takes flush make me think he'll get outboxed by someone who can take his power, which will eventually happen. It always does with big punchers.

I guess that comes off as pretty harsh but I'm just trying to counter-balance the hype.
There is much more to Golovkin's game than just hard punching, the guy is technically sound, utilizes space and cuts the ring off better than most. He has seen and boxed against every style imaginable and can use that experience to adjust as needed. Pair the technique and power with the exp and you have a guy that is almost unbeatable right now.

He would probably destroy Floyd, IF they fought at the same catch weight as he did with Canelo.

Until GGG steps up and fights Ward, do not talk about what he would do to somebody 30lbs lighter than himself..Not even hypothetically, "if they were the same size", or nothing until he fights Ward..

That doesn't make any sense in any fashion. Ward fights nothing like Floyd.

Golovkin doesn't claim to be the undisputed lineal champion at heavyweight.

Floyd is supposedly the undisputed lineal 154 champ and Golovkin says he can make 154 but we all know the fight would never happen because Floyd's 154 title is paper.

If Floyd somehow gets a 160 title (via Cotto) things could get really sad/funny. The guy would be holding up real fights in half of boxing.

Floyd would only fight him at a 152 CW, making GGG completely weight drained (see: Canelo). Need that 2 pounds doe, even though it would be for a 154 title. Typical Floyd tactics
