Right, so that comment doesn't really mean much. Floyd had a lotta trouble with Maidana, who never went to the Olympics...

And even Olympians lose fights. You can't argue that mayweather hasn't been a superior boxer throughout his career against elite level fighters, just because he struggled for a few rounds with maidana.

FFS I've never said Stevens=Floyd, I mentioned him because his fight showed that GGG can take a punch and does it because he knows he can take it because it won't hurt him.

As I said Golovkin wouldn't respect Floyd's power, he would walk him down, hit Floyd's body, shoulder whatever he wants.

What I was accusing you of is suggesting that Stevens is anywhere near a level of a Floyd opponent. Hence comparing how Golovkin performed against Stevens and saying that he looked better than Floyd has against his opposition is redundant.

A lot of Floyd's opponents didn't respect his power and they lost all the same. Golovkin still needs to fight a top opponent in his own division before we start saying he would steamroll the best fighter on the planet.

His jab and balance is certainly not better than Floyd's, please.

His chin? Well, Floyd has been in with fighters of a much much much higher caliber than GGG, and has never been down. He's been in with fighters that are P4P in terms of boxing ability and punching power.

GGG cannot say the same at all, so I can't really see how you can say his chin is better when it hasn't been tested against a high caliber of opponents.

After watching the fight for the third time I'm convinced GGG would whipe Mayweather off the ring, don't get me wrong, Floyd is great and all that and GGG might be too big for him (although if you call yourself TBE, you have to push yourself to the limits right? Just ask Roberto Duran) but even if they were the same size, Golovkin would smash Mayweather.

He's a stylistic nightmare for that self claimed TBE or guys like Lara for that matter.

I was convinced of that even after Floyd dominated Canelo. Why? Because Golovkin is a MW, and a hard hitting one at that, who knows how to box with SKILL, and Floyd was weighing 148 pounds in the Maidana fight. It's obvious that a talented MW would beat a small WW.

Golovkin actually does have a great set of tools for beating Mayweather. He has a superb jab, great ability to cut off the ring and corner opponents, and efficient, precise combination punching. With those tools you can back Floyd up and punish him against the ropes. The jab in particular is a major weapon against him as Cotto showed.
