Gennady Golovkin would totally annihilate Floyd.

After watching the fight for the third time I'm convinced GGG would whipe Mayweather off the ring, don't get me wrong, Floyd is great and all that and GGG might be too big for him (although if you call yourself TBE, you have to push yourself to the limits right? Just ask Roberto Duran) but even if they were the same size, Golovkin would smash Mayweather.

He's a stylistic nightmare for that self claimed TBE or guys like Lara for that matter.

Vladimir Klitschko would crush Golovkin just as easily. That's right, a bigger stronger fighter will beat a smaller guy. There's nothing new you're adding here.

I said if they were the same size GGG would still beat him. His style is all wrong for Floyd.

Interesting but I disagree. GGG was a silver-level Olympian. Not gold, and I've yet to see him tested by a truly talented boxer. Actually I haven't seen him tested by anyone truly talented. The punches he takes flush make me think he'll get outboxed by someone who can take his power, which will eventually happen. It always does with big punchers.

I guess that comes off as pretty harsh but I'm just trying to counter-balance the hype.

What's his silver medal got to do with anything? GGG's constant pressure, balance and power would be too much for Floyd.

He takes flush punches because he knows he can take em, look at Stevens fight, once he felt Stevens (who's a huge puncher) and decided that he can take it, it was game over for Stevens.

Floyd could fight without gloves, with his bare knuckles it wouldn't make any diffrence, Golovkin would walk him down and stop him in 5 rounds max.

Like I said, a stylistic nightmare for Floyd.

Mayweather was a bronze medal Olympian. Silver > Bronze

Mayweathers boxing ability has drastically improved since the Olympics. We have empirical evidence of this. The list of world class fighters he has beat.

Who is this Stevens and what has he achieved in his illustrious carrier that can act as a barometer on which to judge Golovkin?

Also Brandon Rios can take flush punches. It doesn't mean that he can beat a better boxer because of it. Golovkin could be outboxed when he fights a world class fighter. But we just don't know until he steps up and fights one.

Right, so that comment doesn't really mean much. Floyd had a lotta trouble with Maidana, who never went to the Olympics...

FFS I've never said Stevens=Floyd, I mentioned him because his fight showed that GGG can take a punch and does it because he knows he can take it because it won't hurt him.

As I said Golovkin wouldn't respect Floyd's power, he would walk him down, hit Floyd's body, shoulder whatever he wants.

Golovkin not Pacquiao has a style to beat Mayweather.
