Gennady Golovkin would totally annihilate Floyd.

Bringing up Gatti is a sure sign you've lost an encounter.

The jab in particular is a major weapon against him as Cotto showed.
Yeah, would be a hard style for Floyd to face. Don't know why people get so defensive about just the idea that someone has a style that would be tough for him. No one is saying Floyd is garbage because of that...

Well the OP said Golovkin would "whipe mayweather off the ring" within 5 rounds. You can also check the thread title.

If he's talking about MW GGG then probably, but if they were the same size then no, it wouldn't be that easy. Floyd would negate some of GGG's work, but he'd catch some shots for sure, it'd be a high caliber contest.

I agree. And even if they were the same size Kitschko would smash Golovkin.

He clarified he was talking about them being the same size. Of course a middleweight would blast out a welterweight.

lol @ you honestly thinking ggg would beat floyd. i haven't even seen him in the ring with a decent boxer. can ggg make adjustments? or do you believe just with pressure he's gonna beat floyd? he's slower than maidana and isn't as active.

A combination of the superman complex and the simple fact that a lot of the hardcore Floyd fans hate what Golovkin is, i.e, a foreign fighter who's a big puncher and has a lot of hype.

There are certainly things that Golovkin lacks when putting him against Floyd. His defence is loose to say the least and his stamina has never really been tested. Stamina let both Cotto and Maidana down in the championship rounds against Floyd after having done a lot right through eight rounds of the fight.

But yeah, it shouldn't be controversial to say Golovkin has the style to give him trouble. He clearly has a lot of the right weapons.

Slower than Maidana.... that deserve a jolly laugh. GGG has the STYLE to beat or atleast really push Floyd - is GGG good enough to apply it? That remains to be seen, but he does have the style to do it.

ggg doesn't come bull rushing like maidana tho, i mean sure he apllis pressure but its not like he's gonna jump on a guy, hold him with one hand and whale on em. ggg actually boxes more imo, he's a smart fighter. he's doesn't just jump on his opponents, he stalks em down
