I don't think Nielsen will ever reach genuine world level.

He looked really good in his latest fight, but the promoters are already talking about Quillin, Sturm etc. He would get absolutely destroyed by them.

Luckily, even though he's more or less a fight away from being mandatory to GGG, his promoters are saying he's nowhere near ready for that.

It just frightens me that they are already considering him for such a step up at this stage. He hasn't even fought but journeymen thus far!

With the way Froch looked against Groves, and depending on how he will fare against Groves this month, I think Kessler could beat him and I think the fight very much makes sense, should Froch lose to Groves.

I think he's decently skilled... I didn't hear about his promoter saying that... maybe they said it in the build up to Chudinov. For his age, I think he has a decent skillset, but he hasn't fought anybody worth a lick of salt. Even Chudinov, who while is also undefeated, is pretty crap.

I think in time he could be better than what he is now. Does he have a chance at a title? Down the road I think so... but by beating the current champs.... probably, but he could win one down the line.

They make big shows for everyone of his fights here in Denmark, and Sauerland er interviewed every time. He's topping shows every time and right now, the MW division is not really super deep.

So it will be hard for him to step up from the level he is at now, considering he's already ranked #4 or so with the WBA. Which is ridiculous in itself.

I do think he's got talent to reach world level as well - if they give him 5 years. I don't think he'll get 5 years, which is why I don't believe he'll ever reach that level.

That is a shame. He could take Abraham's belt and make some good money still. But he has been battling injuries etc and may have just had enough.

He ain't fight crap right now on those Nordic Fight nights.... I don't even know who he could fight to move up the ranks.....
Jarrod Fletcher maybe.... i think that's a good step up.
I'd say Bursak, but he's fighting Murray.

He's not ready yet for N'Dam

Jarrod Fletcher would be a step up from what he's fighting now for sure. But seriously, BJS smashed him in 3 rounds or something a while back. And he can't punch worth anything!

So it wouldn't even make a statement. I'd say a good win would be a curtis stevens, but in all honesty, he'd probably lose that fight right now.

the press would want to get their fill about Kessler and his retirement, and I'm going there ready to fill a half-spread as well. We just don't know what's going to happen.

Look at the video I posted above where Ward talks about a Kessler rematch. Interesting. In some ways I doubt they could go from wanting to get Ward over to Copenhagen, to retirement in the space of a few months, but let's see.
Precisely. Why offer Ward a fight if Kessler isn't ready to continue?

Eb.dk today also writes that the pressconference is about continuation.

Kessler is too good a fighter to retire off a loss.

Everyone i speak to dont know whether it's about retirement or continuation. But the general media consensus was that it was retirement.

I'm going to the crown plaza tomorrow, so it should be good.
