Mikkel Kessler set for retirement

terrific fighter with a terrific career.
his first fight with froch was friggin legendary. the last three rounds really stuck with me.
i also really enjoyed his fight with calzaghe. we didn't really know what either man had at the time, and they made for a very good fight.
his eyesight was never the same after the ward fight. it's obvious that's what happened. i've heard rumors that he still sees double when he looks in certain directions. i'm really surprised he didn't retire a while back, but i don't blame him for taking a pile of euro money before he left. those guys get paid.Comment

Interesting to hear Ward say Mikkel Kessler's team wanted to get him to Denmark for a fight..
Start at 4.00
Maybe he's not done after all?Comment

I guess because of Kessler's popularity in Denmark.
the press would want to get their fill about Kessler and his retirement, and I'm going there ready to fill a half-spread as well. We just don't know what's going to happen.
Look at the video I posted above where Ward talks about a Kessler rematch. Interesting. In some ways I doubt they could go from wanting to get Ward over to Copenhagen, to retirement in the space of a few months, but let's see.Comment
