That's what I meant though, lots of people think he won and most of those that don't agree that he gave him the best run for his money (see what I did there?) in recent memory. Take that and leave it alone. Besides he shouldn't deserve another match after pulling that fckery by making Maidana wear pillows

Well the gloves would make a difference. I think a lot depends on Floyd. He's certainly slipping, which is perfectly natural at his age. Would Maidana be able to apply pressure the same way? I just think it's a tough match up for Floyd at this point in his career. I'm not necessarily for or against a rematch. I'll be ok if they make it, but won't go nuts if they don't. Maidana definitely proved himself though.

I had the fight 8-4 Mayweather. If it was my decision I'd also have deducted points for the lowblow and rabbit punches. Other than that the rounds were close but clear. Mayweather landed the cleaner shots the whole fight and Maidana just bum rushed him. I could see how Maidana fans could see the fight as close but this is the sport of boxing and you don't get points for looking aggressive.

Maidana is already playing the heel trying to sell the next fight.

That's true to an extent... Floyd landed a lot of nice little bodyshots against the ropes and also jabs to the body early, really paid dividends later in the fight..

But Maidana does need to work on stamina, he also slowed up in the 2nd half of the broner fight and broner really hadn't done anything up to that point

              1. Stamina. Solution: train with Pacquiao
              2. Develop a straight right & uppercut.
              3. Be weary of Floyd's straight Lefts/Rights.
              4. Don't fight in Vegas, fight with different judges.

Obviously, he could get a little luckier than he did and actually connect home with something big.

                  I'm not sure.

Depends how much Floyd slips from now to then.

Maidana fought the worst version of Floyd I've seen and lost so I'm not sure what more he could do.

But he's always going to trouble this version of Floyd in spots.

Gosh, even worse than the version that faced Castillo? If you would please isolate very specifically what about Floyd's movement, speed or reactions made you feel he has declined so DRAMATICALLY all of the sudden. I see you going into every thread preaching this like it's the gospel. How about some hard facts/logistics? Really curious why you're so adamant.

For the guys that keep bringing up and stating "let Maidana wear his gloves"

                      Are these MAGIC gloves?
WTF is so special about Everlast MX gloves -- Do they give you wings?

In almost thirty years of being a boxing fan and serious affectionado, I have never heard anything as bizarre as that. If we wear our gloves, it'll be a different fight.

                      Are you freakin kidding??????
