So let me get this straight.
Lack of sufficient padding (according to Floyd) = Illegal gloves and Maidana cheating?

The gloves were shipped to them FROM EVERLAST. So Garcia took the gloves, opened them up, took all the padding out, sewed them back up (without any physical evidence of tampering visible), then put them back in the wrapper. Got it.

It just means those particular pair were not approved, so they had to choose something else.

They were about to be approved, and there was no cheating involved, if that were so there would be a case against them like with the Margarito thing with Mosley, there was no CHEATing, they rejected the gloves because Mayweather was threatening to pull out of the fight and made a big deal about the gloves.

The commission said fine they have other pairs, Floyd said no they didn't want them using everlast horse hair gloves.

there was no cheating, Maidana and garcia were not suspended or fined, there is no investigation.

Maidana being a peoples champ said fine he will fight with those padded gloves because he felt bad for the fans while Floyd said *** the fans my health comes first even though the fans are paying him and paying his checks, ppv and ticket sales comes from fan money.

Why do people reach and make up lies there was no tamper or cheating of gloves it was just Floyd throwing a whine fest crying again in fear.

he does. and while i dont agree with the idea that the A side should be able to give himself all kinds of advantages merely by being the A side i think this case is different.

keep in mind, fighters look at their opponents gloves for a reason. its not like floyd is doing something new, it happens on occasion that a fighter protests the gloves the other guy is wearing. its not unheard of like lots of people are pretending.

he also wasnt complaining that they were punchers gloves but that they were just plain faulty. not that it has horse hair padding but that its not enough of it. as for maidana complaining about wearing other gloves, thats their problem. you should always pick at least two pairs of gloves to wear in case there is an issue like that.

Maidana team presented 10 types of new gloves and Cleto Reyes gloves to Floyd. Sadly all were rejected then forced Maidana to wear pillow gloves. Brave move by Floyd.

They weren't approved because they weren't in original packaging and were custom gloves (customizations were not permitted per the contract), thus they were considered "illegal", not because they were "tampered" with.

The pair that were still in the packaging, which were identical to the disallowed pair, were permitted because they were not customized and in original packaging. No one tried to cheat but Floyd and his team.
