Mayweather's age is definetely catching up. I think that he and his team are fully aware of this. As a fan I hope he retires at the top before losing to a guy he would have never lost too in his prime. If he ends up losing (which has a good chance of happening), with all the hate he gets people will not say thats because of age, people will say that its because he's not that good...

Maidana was always capable of causing Floyd problems if he could walk through Floyd's shots. That's the only way he could do it because he doesn't have a very good jab. Maidana had so much success last night simple because he could cut the distance in a way that the likes of Guerrero or Canelo either wouldn't or couldn't.

I certainly didn't expect it. I knew Maidana wouldn't waste our time like Guerrero and Canelo did, trying to outbox Floyd in the centre of the ring. But I never thought he would cut the distance consistently enough to rough up Floyd in close.

Floyd thought he could overcome the stylistic challenge by keeping Chino off him. For large portions of that fight, he was wrong. Give Chino credit, he proved us all wrong.

... Maidana took it very physical and rough, of course... That was to be expected, right?
... I wonder if Floyd would have made it in case Marcos fought with his usual MX gloves...

Floyd did look his age but Maidana does fight in a way that makes guys feel their age. It is a big deal, but certain guys will make the issue much more apparent.

He beat all of those guys more clearly than he beat Maidana. It was more than the style matchup.

Maidana was also almost a ****ing super middleweight last night.. Ive rewatched this fight twice and its because chino aggressiveness something you rarely see floyd against almost made you think what's wrong with Floyd. But watching the sh(t over and over its plain to see Floyd dominated.

If floyd had been fighting canelo or guerrero last night he would have schooled them just the same as always. Styles make fights. Credit what maidana brought to the table. HE MADE floyd look bad.

I think that Floyd's lack of punching power is another issue -- Maidana slowed down because he got tired and not because he was hit...
