Not a robbery, but there IS justification in the outrage over the official scorecards. Michael Pernick was the only one who seemed to be actually watching the fight.
Maidana clearly won at least 4 of the first 6 rounds as well as round 12, IMO.
I can't see how he won "atleast 4" of the first 6 when rounds 2,4 and 6 could easily have been scored for Mayweather.
I was losing hope in NSB but this thread made me believe again! great scorecards guys. I didn't score it but Floyd def won , a blind man could see Mayweather was landing the better shots. Floyd was never hurt by Chino and i dont really think a rematch is needed.
he may have been landing the cleaner shots to the head, the flashier shots(punches that didn't even land he gets merit on, due to the speed and flash, esspecially alot of his bodyshots)
but no way did he land the more effective or better shots in that fight, you can put the number of shots that mayweather threw with conviction(and landed) in one hand in the entire fight, most of his shots were arm punches, punches just to touch maidana, it looked like the sht he does to his heavybag(the tap tap, before the hard shot)
maidana's chin isn't that good, if floyd was landing the shots he landed vs mosley or cotto maidana would have been hurt, but he wasn't, he was throwing simply put, flashy punches made to look good, to score, the only one that got damaged in that fight was mayweather, he was stunned to the head and he's likely pissing blood as we speak
I had Maidana up 4-2 after six, but have a hard time giving him a round after that.
8-4 Mayweather. Close but clear.
I had 3-2 Chino after 5,after that he faded badly until round 8 then more of the same after the eighth,he took no more than 1 round after that, possibly the 11th at a push.
I can't see how he won "atleast 4" of the first 6 when rounds 2,4 and 6 could easily have been scored for Mayweather.
3 was hardly dominant either.
Based on what?
Maidana dictated the pace of the fight for the first 6 rounds and out-threw Mayweather 2-1. You can give me the spiel about how Maidana was hitting arms and gloves, but it's not going to change my scoring. Mayweather didn't even show up until round 7, IMO.
In most of the early rounds Maidana doubled Floyd's output and completely controlled the pace at which the fight was being fought. More important than that, he looked comfortable with what he was doing in there while Mayweather was lobby'ing the referee for help and handouts every chance he got.
I don't have a problem with your scoring because I realize that scoring is subjective, but if you're going to call my scoring into question? Well, that's bull****.
