Close fight. I had Maidana up 4-2 after six, he was putting in good work. Floyd took over from round 7 on though. Even when Maidana had him on the ropes the 2nd half, he kind of smothered his own work and/or was clinched by Floyd. Meanwhile Floyd was landing counters off the ropes, to the body and head, and controlling most of the rounds from the middle of the ring, or landing those quick left hooks.

115-113. I'd like a rematch though. Maidana gave him the toughest fight since Castillo, hands down. I could see it being a draw if you scored one of the later rounds for Maidana, though Floyd did the much better work still.

People are letting their hate for Floyd cloud their judgement. Floyd landed the better punches the last 6-7 rounds, and took a couple of the early rounds with some sharp counters and smothering Maidana's work.

Floyd will give Maidana a rematch. The only time a decision for Floyd was remotely in jeopardy was Castillo, and he got an immediate rematch.

I came on here expecting to see a note saying this site had crashed. The haters finally have something to hang their hat on.

For the record, Floyd won this fight!!!!!! Whether you had him winning by one point or six points, Floyd won! I personally had Maidana up 4-2 in rounds, but had Floyd winning the last six rounds.

There will be a rematch. However, like the Castillo fight, the haters will pretend like the second fight never happened and will continue to claim that Floyd lost this fight.

Not enough credit for Floyd here. Maidana isn't near the fighter Floyd is, but he struggled with him, because his awkward style.

The only round Maidana won the 2nd half was the 8th, though he still made Floyd every round.

Floyd adjusted to Maidana along the ropes, and also found range in the center of the ring.

I had Maidana up 4-2 after 6. Then Maidana won the 8th.

I want a rematch.
