This is where Oscar is in trouble. The fighters. U ppl think they care what the fans think? It's all about the fighters and the networks and the investors. The way it kooks now, Schaefer is the man with all of that in his pocket. Oscar is to blame for that mote than anyone else. Ppl make it seem like Arum is some innocent old man, but he facilitated a lot of the hate other promoters have for him. It will be interesting to see how this goes but it won't go good. There will be no saving boxing done by Oscar. That's absurdity.

Conspiracy theory of mine is they rushed the Lara ( Haymon ) / Canelo ( Strictly GB ) fight in July so Lara can pick apart Canelo which will drastically cut his marketibility going forward even if they go their separate ways Oscars left with Mares who last fight got KO and Canelo who'd have lost 2 of his last 3. Not much to work with.

        Check Mate Oscar

I agree the new era of promoters are putting and investing new momentum in the sport and that has been heralded by Mayweather, Schaefer, Hopkins, Haymon, and their partners.

Bob Arum lashing out like a toddler proved that his money is dwindling, his power in the sport is of no more. His fighters are leaving him, trying to break away from signing extensions. The only idiots he will keep on his banner is Pacquiao and Bradley (who was dumb enough to give his wife managerial powers over his career). Rios, Mikey Garcia, Chavez Jr. are all going to leave as well as Rigondeaux. I hope Crawford gets out of Top Rank as well, at least get a contract that give him lee-way to move on from it.

Bob Arum killed the 2010 fight and robbed the B side of the bill, that information is public knowledge now. So that is why many are leaving, plus look at Mayweather, Cotto, and De La Hoya. They left they became bigger names and much more wealthier, managing their own careers and paid off their mysterious debts.
You said Floyd has half a billion. Anything you write here, is null and void.

Let's not forget that. GBP is run by pure trash.
Lets not forget they essentially thought Hopkins was an easy fight, a big name for Pavlik to destroy. They wanted Calzaghe, but he was pssy and he fought shot Roy Jones, so Top Rank basically tried to cherry pick Hopkins and it backfired. The cold war hadn't really started yet we saw Pacquiao vs Oscar, Hatton, etc. IMO the cold war really got bad once the Pacquiao vs Floyd and drug allegations, and lawsuits happened. From there the **** hit the fan.

I think Hopkins is simply siding with Schaefer and it has less to do with Arum himself. Hopkins is in the middle of this and I'm sure he knows a whole lot more than any of us. If lawyers are involved like he said then there must be se serious issues and things are about to get nasty.Hopkins wouldn't publicly side with Schaefer unless he had good reason.

They acting like women... You guys only saying this about Arum because your FM love. ... It's dumb to cut out money ..There are a lot of fights to be made.. Lot of money Oscar the only one in that camp thinking about the future Floyd's 36 BHop 600 yrs old lol.. Shafer has said just as much about Arum as Arum has said about them.... Let's act like grown ups... They basing all this emotion off Floyd but Floyd's only got a couple more yrs ... And then What?? Rigos young Crawfords young Donaire is young these guys will be there on TR. Plus Oscar is also thinking about HBO money. Shafer and those bad talked HBO too. You can't take business personal.. They take what a 80 yr says personal. Arum has put on some of the most Historically important fights ever!!! He plays the game. No different from Money Mayweather. Oscars name on the banner not Shafers or BHops... It's business that's all.
