This is all speculation but I think Floyd has the tools to beat a prime Chavez but at the same time Chavez had the tools to beat Floyd. Even if Taylor would have won the fight against Chavez he was destroyed. Anyone who saw Taylor after the Chavez fight could attest to the fact that he was never the same after that. Chavez punished him and I think Floyd would have a really hard time with him. JCC did have a little trouble with the slicksters so I think Mayweather gets the UD if Chavez doesn't get the ko.

Would have been an amazing fight though. Anyone who thinks that Chavez was even a shadow of his former self against Tsyzu or De La Hoya should watch those fights again. Chavez had begun his decline around the time he fought Whitaker. By the time Tsyzu and Hoya got ahold of him he was just a name.

When you add to this that Mayweather punches harder than Whitaker and is a better body puncher and inside fighter than Whitaker was, then I think Chavez would lose. The only guy I think that gives Mayweather something to really think about is Roberto Duran at welter.
CHavez got his "sterling" record fighting bums. When it was high time he faced elites, he got himself beaten and beaten badly.

Results are what matters not superficial records.

PBF definately! You keep talking about JLC beating Floyd but that was in fight 1. If you are going prime Mayweather it would be after fight 2 when he beat the **** out of JLC. JLC ****** plain and simple. Who did he fight in his prime??? Plus you keep saying that Floyd has no power...how come he TKO'd Gatti(one of the toughest fighters with a granite chin)? I don't think JCC would have been able to beat Mosley at 135 let alone PBF. After Floyd mops the floor with everyone in 140 and 147 will see if you change your minds.

One thing I want to know is why do all you (no offense by the way)Mexican guys worship JCC when Oscar beat JCC. Oscar in his prime would have been a better example than JCC to beat PBF(PBF gets my vote in that fight too).

Simplicity is beauty dude. I don't know how your mind thinks otherwise. But seriously, I'm tired of all these cry babies shouting rascist when they themselves are paranoid enough to be one.

Hey! You copied my argument but didn't quote it. Joke! Don't take it seriously.

As I've said, I would settle for a guy who beats 3-4 elites and retired that way as oppose to a guy who has to his name 9999999999 wins against bums and yet failed to make the cut against elites.

I consider Chavez as HOF, no question about it. But to rank him that up high to even consider him on the same level of an elite the type of PBF, then it's a different matter altogether.
